Been meaning to put this up and kept forgetting. These are the black rubber squash nuts for the skins (replacement squash nuts). Kawa wants about $4.81 or a little higher for each one. These are not 'exact', in that Kawa's has a slight swelling so when you insert the squash nut it stays in place. These are straight. I haven't had them in long enough to know that once installed and tightened down for a while, if they'd keep the slight swelling/deformation in them.

I used a small piece of ele tape on mine when newly installed. Bag of 6 = $12.95.

I have replaced mine with the Kawi replacement part. I did both sides of the dumbass airbox design. I had one tear and because of the swollen end of the originals, I couldn't pull the torn well nut out. I ended up losing it and it fell right into the airbox. C'mon Kawasaki! Would a rivnut been too expensive? Anyhow, I pulled the gas tank to get to the access covers and fished the boken piece out of the airbox before it got consumed by the engine. The new ones do swell when you tighten them and then return to smooth when you losen.
