I am hooking up an electronic shifter. The last step is to connect wires to the coils via the ignition/spark plug. Does anyone know where and how I access these? Thanks in advance.

pcwolfie, it's been a while since I installed my HM Plus quick shifter, but my main memory is although its a tough process it can be done.
Hands the size of a baby also helps (which I don't have).
The coils are under the fuel tank and space is very limited.
One of the real helpful champions of this site is Rook.
He has made countless "how to's" for the ZX-14.
Here is one that might help...
While you obviously don't have to remove the actual coils, Rook's detailed "How To" should be helpful.
Just remember that anything bold and underlined in Rooks tutorial is another link.
Enjoy the fun of the challenge...

Yeah, they're sort of like a service manual, no sense in writing the same thing twice. I try to make the tutorials ONLY about whatever part the tutorial is about. It inevitable that we need to remove other parts to work on the part the tutorial is about so I just put a link to the info that was already written. It can get to be quite a tangled web though.

pcwolfie, if that shifter is like the HM shifter All you need to do is unplug the stick coil lead from the top of the stick coil. You just press a button and pull the plug. Then plug the quickshifter inline lead connectors between the stick coil and the stick coil lead connector. There is a certain order you are supposed to plug the inline connectors in. There is a backwards order and frontwards.
