Chrly,

We need to hook up one of these days and hit the road... Appears we are pretty close to each other... I took advantage of the cooler temps this morning... When I left about 8:30 this morning, it was 64 degrees... When I got home around 12:30 it was 81... I couldn't have ask for better riding conditions...

I wish I were heading out with you...

I took this one today at Merced Falls Ca. The Merced River just west of Yosemite about 40 or 50 miles...
The second on just west of Hornitos Ca... Little town in the middle of no-where...

Rudy I was Fortunate to be able to ride Angeles Crest in the 60s and 70s . The trip to Riverside, if I don't get called back to work, will just be to visit family. Too much traffic for me to enjoy riding . this trip is pretty much just to play catchup with friends and family!..
I alwayz enjoy getting to the coast .. special place...

Actually I am east of Modesto, and that is one of my go to routes when I need to just get on and ride a bit. I do a bit of Gold Country riding. There are so many good roads in the area, a lot of twist and turn along with lots of elevation change. As you know this time of year the weather is great to two wheelin'...

And Yes, there was a dusting of snow on some of the higher elevations, but they even got a taste of that back in late July or early August. I rode east on Hwy 4 and back on Hwy 88. There were some thunder storms over the top and a couple of places got a bit of snow and hail. The temp went from 92 in the Valley to high 40's on top. I was glad to get back to lower elevations and absorb the heat.
