Thank you for taking my call, long time lurker, first time poster

I have been reading everyone's thoughts for quite some time (going back to the old site) and thought I should introduce myself.

2007 Blue ZX14 and loving every minute of it.

You're an old timer in my book then, 4ev14. I know you have whatever reasons, but why now after all these years? What tipped you over to the welcoming committee of the old timers...

Hub,

I think the reason I finally decided to show my face here is related to some of the recent posts of discouraged riders who have had accidents or close calls that are considering hanging it up.

I too had a near miss with a deer last weekend. Had I not layed my bike down, sliding under the deer, I probably would be in the hospital right now mending broken bones.

As it turned out, I suffered only cosmetic damage to my bike and gear and enjoyed another 600 miles of riding during the weekend.

The positive words I received from several riders during my trip reinforced my sense of community with fellow riders and because I have been lurking on here for so long, I felt it was only proper to become one of the visible and share my experiences and ideas, when relevant.

Other than that, it provides me with the opportunity to converse directly with you, permitting me to say "what the #&%!#%#!&% did he just say" when I just can't make sense of something you typed.

Well, that's PROOF that you've been lurking around here for a while <grin>... -bg

That is funny. My old lady was sitting next to me to take a run for errands and things. I said some product to get and I could not think of it quick so made something close to it. It came out sort of weird/funny. I'm waiting for her reaction more or less, I am going to hear it for the umpteenth time about communication skills.

Oh, but she got a chuckle out of the new made up name that just pops in my head. Yeah, it is strange for everyone around but me. We are on the same page but the hell if I can prove it.

I have some classic social science, but some other time. What are you confused about so I can change my ways. Not really, but slipping under the deer is quick thinking. A walk away is WOT die say is one more day trying. And those that assume will be seeing that heading back in their face is more poetic justice tell me I wanna die on this bike is I haven't ridden it fast enough ya think?

Social science is speed is relative to the buckling of the dear meat. Chew talk to Dogo yet about that game you tagged without a license? Yourskin or BAM Bee'z, Yet Year You than me. I've had about enough of those dearskins...

Really, skinned alive! Wanna sea if I will stop riding? Not in your lifetime! OK, maybe... NOT!!!! >>>

You YOU had me hat hell mit lockit hell lowI'm in a Head Lock... Is Fukit! I'm riding till it's over! The day you stop beating it off is the day I stop riding.

Dare, does that answer your question you just had to sing UP.

You hear me utter those words, someone shootme!

Here is me in a head lock. I was burned at the arms and knees/shoulder is sorta looking the same from a race crash. Now, I took zip on the recovery. I don't know what they fed MJ on his Pepsi Fire. Maybe my burn did not reach his friction heat. But I stayed out of the ER. I drank the coldest water in the fridge. I never touched one tube of ointment. I let nature do it all and water made me heal faster, that is if I could move to get in the shower with a broken foot without cast. Did not know I broke the foot like a wishbone cracked right off.

I'm good to go for another round. Don't ask me why I keep getting back on. It is never her fault, if you want my social psychology.

That is exactly what I was talking about Hub...I had to read it twice to understand what you were saying. But so far, so good.

I should consider writing a book of phrases to help other translate, it could turn into a nice retirement fund.
