Well Kruz, I was looking for duc to play with, but joining the duc site and answering tech questions to understand the bike's finer points, it's basically a hit or miss bike as far as dependability. Babied V4's have leaks, to where the dealer or district rep calls for an engine change to fix it under warrantee.
On the euro side, they've found 3 other engines needed to be pulled. Factory says no engine available, meaning, the assembly line and the bottom line are first, owner comes second. Any major repair will take over 8 months sitting and waiting for parts.
Other things like a cracked rim spoke. Guy also had a sensor problem they couldn't find. Eventually found it, and tried to charge the owner for more hours the warranty would pay. I chimed in saying no way about eating those hours, then tried to explain no matter how hard the rim took, where he claimed hitting a bump, spin the rim and look at the outer rim, where the tire and rim meet for a dent? No dent, it's for sure warrantee. Still fighting with that one.
Another thread is a 60 count look see, where no one helped to answer, I offered a variable about a cracked stator cover leaking oil. No mention of a crash or drop I'll assume, but to read that about such a piece of shit rotten egg, with a caviar price?
No way hose say. I'm looking for something bulletproof like a Kawasaki, the spoiled me bike. Steer clear. A low miler beware. It means something is wrong with it running wise, or the 1 or 2000 dollar full service interval needed... belt drive that is.
