I picked up a Cycle-Logic turbo kit for my 14 awhile back as alot of you know. I've been squeezing in install time on it a little here and there. The kit came VERY complete...right down to the exhaust gaskets and a kawi oil filter And it was packed with lots of tlc Dave, the owner of Cycle-Logic, has also been great with any questions The kit actually uses busa exhaust gaskets....the stock ones are honestly a joke So far the install has been pretty straighforward and simple......everythings went together as its supposed to I have the turbo installed and bolted up, fits very nice, tucked in well and should clear everything just fine. The rest is just bolting up/finishing the small stuff. My kit also came with a sweet tucked in polished megaphone exhaust...no need to cut the fairings for dump pipes or an air filter for this kit One thing I can say is its a bit time consuming.....if you plan on installing one give yourself some time. And a bike lift would come in handy. I'm 6'3, and all the bending over/squatting def isn't doing my knee's or back any favors Overall tho its been a relatively straightforward affair, anybody fairly comfy with tools could do it.........the only part thats at all scary is drilling the gas tank and oil pan for fuel and oil return lines. I have a california model 14 with emmissions lines on the back of the tank, so I'm pulling off the emmissions stuff and using the built in return line...no drilling needed. I'm also returning the oil through the fill cap with a modified cap (comes in the kit), so no removing the oil pan for drilling either. If you use those 2 methods, overall installing the kit so far has really been pretty easy....not much harder than pulling the flies and installing a full exhaust on the 14.
Just wanted to share some info for anybody considering boosting their 14. Plus this sub-forum seemed a little lonely lol.
I'll continue to share info as things progress
