For you guys in Oz, my dealer phoned Kawasaki Australia today as i had also placed an order for the stand. Listening in on the conversation i was lead to believe they haven't ordered the centre stands as yet as they need to place an order for a years stock and didn't know what to order. They also couldn't give an estimated time of arrival for them either. So i have placed an order with a US supplier and phoned my dealer to cancel the order. Kawasaki Australia need to start backing up their new products and dealers by supplying OEM stock.

It is more a dealer problem, not the factory. Think about it. If they didn't order it??? To me, that looks like someone dropped the ball right there at the counter.

I ordered my stand thru Extreme Powersports, they had the best price for the kit $194.52 and also deliver to Australia. Even with delivery it cost less than the Australian retail price.

Well I'm with you dags. An estimated time of delivery of 'dunno mate could be months....' just isn't good enough.

I've gone with the Extreme Powersports crowd so we'll see how long they take. Their estimate of arrival was the end of April to early May. The terms and conditions mentioned that if the order becomes a back order you have the option of cancelling, which seems fair.

i would not even sweat when the stands are coming..get yourself a set of spools and some chain lube and you are good to go... with 190 plus hp the last place... that the rear wheel needs to be is up in the air or off the ground.

Before I jump on ordering 1 myself, any clearance issues when cornering? Some center stands are poorly made and hang down too low.

UPDATE: I finally got confirmation from Kawasaki USA that they have inventoried the stands and they are filling orders. I was even given a UPS tracking number for my stand and it is scheduled to arrive at the dealership on May 4th.

So the wait is over.. it's been nearly 6 months. When I get back from Canada on the 7th I'll swing by and get my stand and I'll finally get it installed.

UPDATE: I have received shipping details for the centre stand ordered thru Xtremepowersports.
Hopefully It should arrive soon.

I have a new centerstand I don't need or can't use cause I have Brock Dual CT Exhaust, and I lowered it with adjustable links, and want to keep my rear under frame plastic wing. I don't have the bolts for it, so if your dealer can't get one in stock in a reasonable time......I will take 150.00 for mine, plus shipping.....

Is yours from a 2012 ZX-14R, Ninja? That would be a great price for someone who hasn't already ordered a new one.

  Go to pacjack.ca if you need an inexpensive way to get the rear wheel off the ground to perform simple chain maintenance while on a trip, you can do it for under $50. There are other people who make them also.

My dealer called yesterday and said mine is in.

Centre Stand arrived this week from the US.

Received my centre stand this week. Fitted it the other night without issue.

Craig from Canada. No cornering clearance problems. The stand is well tucked up and would be almost impossible to touch down through a corner.

Not sure if it's my imagination but the 2012 feels easier to get on its centre stand than the 2009 model I used to have. I would often irritate an old back injury putting the 2009 bike on the stand but seem to have a much easier time of it with the 2012.
