I put the price back up to $9,000 now.

Dealer will give me almost that much, and it will cost me money to sell it outright (transfer title, etc.)

Frankly, I hope it doesn't sell now, the trade-in deal is sweet.

They told me my C14 could arrive any day now, too. :)

Look, I know it's a great bike, but you'll have to give me a sweet deal before I ripe my hands from this hear me out. It's so crisp outside, this bike loves condensed air. I can hear that idle with RG setting up on the line with that R bike. Yeah, it's close to mine, but no cigar. Yes, I see that sprocket change, for it only rips the bottom up. Yeah, it's heavy. No, I'm not changing exhausts.

Gear it down one tooth I run out of swing arm? Take out a link? No sub system, there goes the trac? I'm back to where I started from. What about that step up of the torque; yes, I know. That silver tongued beauty still sets my bar, I'm still chasing it. You'd have to make it on the used side we trade up. I can eat a leftover, it feels like it's only months away, the 013 comes out with a shift me without a clutch, I'm abs am I'm getting fat with a T EAR

I'm no longer a semi-sport, I now WEIGH A TON! Call me a spoilsport.

Looks like dealer will give me halfway between NADA low- and average-retail, plus $500 (kawasaki promotion) plus $2,000 (new kawasaki promotion on C14 - I can't find it but they say it is coming) so I have a really good downpayment.

Now to talk them into comp-ing me a Kawasaki top-case and monokey set.

The windshield for my ZX 14 bike were purchased from http://www.windshield-shop.com/Motorcycle_Brand/8649__Kawasaki_ZX_14.html, they guys that work there are incredible, know every product they sell in and out and are willing to spend time with you figuring out what's best for your application.

Looks like it will get traded in on the C14.

I got lots of responses, some even said they wanted to buy it, but nobody put $ where their mouths were.

I've even got someone now who claims to be a US Marine stationed in Iraq (anyone see the impossibility in that?) and wants me to do a paypal request to him and he will "have his Agent in the UK" take care of it.

ROFL, you'd think they'd create a new opening scenario in that scam by now.

When I get home from work, I'm reporting his email to SpamCop. They will back trace the route the email took to its true origin, and prepare a spam report to the proper contacts. I'm also going to forward his emails to the FBI.

His first mistake was telling a veteran (me) that he was currently stationed in Iraq with the Marine Expeditionary Force. Ummm.... NO.

His second mistake was mentioning an "agent" and showing his hand too early on the reverse paypal request scam.

At least the dealer won't scam me. He will try to nickel and dime me, but when it comes time to sign the purchase agreement and the loan papers, and we are short because they want to pay me X-$800 or something, I'll just look at them and tell them its up to them to make it happen.

Been there, done that. They'd rather break even on my trade-in when they sell it, and get the profit from the sale of the new bike, than make a grand extra on the trade-in and lose it all because they won't make up the difference.

Can't wait, got my new Pilot Road 3 tires all ready to take over when the C14 gets here, and got Genmar K-406 riser blocks on the way, that should get me through break-in. Heh.
