Congrats Wolf, well done. Very Nice to see Mitch Iron out the lean AFR #'s up the middle.
I think I was more nervous than you were,,,expecting dads lol.

In my test bike I ran that map before and after dozens of times adding fuel into the ECU. My percentage #'s meant nothing with out a Dyno pull to back it up. This is why we needed you going in lean with stock Fuel cell #'s.

I wish I could flash that exact copy into your ECU for you but it's not a Exact science with fuel cell swaps. Close does not count.

I knew big gains were to be had up the middle based on my before and after runs but had no way of knowing how much. Once again thanks for the data.

Now for get dyno #'s. Pump throttle in 2nd from 5000RPM tell us how far she walks. Repeat 3rd. Curious lol

Happy For Ya Congrats.

Been working on a special Flash for a long time member here. Was a major head scratcher to build. He just received it in the mail,,, Can't wait to here his impression. Love this stuff guys, play safe.

Very nice chart and #'s on Wolf's 14R. I would have liked to see a dyno run before the initial flash. 206 hp with a tune and full system is right on the money, but 187 hp with slipons and a flash seems very low. I'm wondering if perhaps the initial flash wasn't up to par. Thoughts anyone?

ZX I know what your saying about the safety mode, I get it, Wolf if you get that safety mode out for good Ontario will fear you on a whole nother level my brother, that bike is running is ass off and Frankenstein is a hell of a tuner, most I know would have got you close and said okay here it is, 20 pulls shows patience and love for his work, I'd deal with him anyday.

Again don't know what to tell you what happened unless your bike still goes into safety mode on some runs. Which makes sense because I dont know if romans knows how to code that out. It's one thing to have it open the flies early and open up the top end with extra rpms but another to figure out how to get rid of the safety mode.

Romans Knows How to Code That Out ,,,,, Of That You Can Be Sure.

Than roman you should be rich. Before responding to your post I went to brocks site to see some charts. His are pretty much in line with ivans. On HIS maps which are easy to look up, back to back runs one with pipe and no flash and the next run he added guhls flash the bike gained about 3-4hp throughout and 2hp up top. Romans all I'm saying is if your right I'll pay you easily 2000 bucks if I gain 25hp around 6000rpms. Wolf bike was in safety mode still im sure of it. There are plenty of charts out there that show this mode. And romans I'm not kidding, you can get me over 20hp thru my mid range I'll send you $2000 thru paypal. Im good for it, and if your flash is that good it's worth EVERY PENNY. Hell my bike totally stock pulled 185.2hp and 115tq and all brocked out and new oil it pulled 200.9 and 118tq. This is looking at my charts in front of me. You get me anywhere near that kind of torque gain on top of that I'll pay you for it. See the only real difference in mine and wolfs chart is my doesn't have the dip that you can obviously see in the red line on his charts that mine don't. We end at the same place but getting there was different. The safety mode over rides your flash when it kicks in and reshuts the flies to 20% untill about 8000rpms. Again as seen on wolf's chart. Call brocks for the free info. He went thru the same thing. Thought he had it beat and every once in awhile while testing the bike at the track they would have a flawless run and still put down shitty numbers and low speeds and they couldn't figure it out. Well then they found saftey mode!!!! The funny part is im almost coping brocks and rickey gadsens comments word for word right now. Ahhhhh the info you can find on the net........PRICELESS!!!!

If Romes says his flash removes safe mode and sorts out the problem, than his flash removes safe mode. I have way more trust in his flash, over the other brotha's. He is a jewel in Ontario, and this is what he does, gotta vouch for Romes!

As a cool cat once said, I don't mind losing to a 14R. Just no other make and model! Meeeh. The challenge is on. Will say though I am happy with these numbers (down right joyous actually). I am now going to let Mitch stretch her out! Fling wish I met this cat earlier!

Hey wolf! Awesome tune from both! Obviously Romans can make that software work! It's the ignition work etc done inside the ecu that allowed the big #'s once the air:fuel was sorted. Ignition is just as big and an important part of the pie as fuel or air or combustion chamber shape or compression or....
Do you see where I am going with this bud? :)) it is the genius and the experience of two gifted tuners coming together to make something greater than the sum of its parts. That bike is just flat sic! I am jealous sir! I need to stop screwing around camping and growing vegetables and shit and focus on the important stuff in life! HORSEPOWER. :))

The safety mode ZX is talking about DOES exist. There are two ways to fix that safety mode in the ZX-14R.

1. Remove your secondary butterflies.
-doing this not only removes the safety mode, it removes all the programmed in restrictions in lower gears etc. The only drawback being that it consistently results in a small loss of HP on the very top. (2-3? Maybe)

2. The preferred method is to use the woolich software and as a part of the flash, once the full power map with all its little ignition curve tweaks is all set and lookin pretty. You copy and paste that sexy full power map directly over the found safety map. That way, every time on launch or roll on in second, when it kicks in, it is simply swithching seemlesly over to its own full power map. Voila.

What up Big C, Romes was describing the way he beat the safety mod, however, that is his story to tell (or not tell).

I have been sworn to secrecy and I am crazy committed to my word. But I believed he used a third approach!

You're right both gentlemen came together with great talent, one recognizing the work of the other and building perfection. Can't say enough about Mitch and Romes...

Mad love C, I am going to get in touch with you in a bit, look for an email about 11 today Eastern time lol.

I gotta give a little credit where credit is due here. WOLFMAN. This was all your idea, I remember clearly every single word of our very first intro phone conversation. We both had stock bikes. You with those wicked slips. You outlined a bold plan, you talked about mating that Akro header with your slip ons. I was still just a forum lurker here basically, maybe 20 useless posts. Only one other person had, that I could find, had even actually tried to mate those headers up with slips. It worked for them. But they didn't have a flash. Just a tune. You wanted it all. Header, your favorite slips, a solid flash that made sense, and a PCV, with a good tune. You laid all that out for me. I was like,'holy shit sir! That bike will fuckin stomp!' And now LOOK AT WHAT THE WOLFMAN BUILT! It is your mean green machine, your vision from months and months ago! Your hard earned knowledge! Your lust to push the envelope of this machine! Your open mind and wisdom to be patient and positive about the process. Your wallet that backed up the vision.

Wolfman,

Sebastian.

Bro accolades right back.
The vision was inspired by a few great men.
First guy I learned about the Akra boost was OMEGA(he introduced the idea on a akra thread). I then read what I could, Next Romans suggested an ecu flash (then provided the finest flash bar none, what a talent) coupled with the suggestion I go a Dyno map - PC5. I listened. My boy Beast helped me order it. Then I shared the vision with Mitch who was willing to try it (I don't know anyone who can tune like him man)... and pow - here we are. I would say I just recognized the insights of some great men and acted on the plan. Of course I kept you in the loop all the way my fellow Nation Brother. If I made low numbers I'd post em I wanted other members to benefit from my gains and losses. Throughout Romes said, I was going to make awesome power, I listened stayed the course. In the pursuit I met Mitch, Romans, and solidified a friendship with one of the great tech thinkers on here - u Cblast. So really the credit goes to Omega, Romes, Mitch, and Beast. All helped. I provided the bike, the desire and the cash. I will represent these gentlemen proud.

I wanted this most for my enjoyment but I also wanted others to grow with me. There will be better systems in the future, but for a very short time I have the lime light on the meanest airflow set up out there! Was it worth it. He'll yeah. Did I gain a few white hairs he'll yeah. But let me tell you something it is all worth it.

I just got back from a few runs, and I am grinning under that helmet and fling eating anything in my path! I am a destroyer - I am the predator I knew this bike could be. Oh and pass the salad and bottled water. Next mod is weight loss. Actually next mod is a stretch. Compliments of Mitch! (my wallet too yikes)...

Oh shanks forgot to mention. With the stretch - I am taking Romes and ZX racer's next piece of gold knowledge. I am going 17 - 45 or 16 43. Then no one, I mean no one (turbo NOS exempt) can take my ride. MUHUHUHhahahahha!!! Then it's off to coronation!

Wolf... you've inspired me. In my pursuit to 'keep up' with you I am pulling the trigger on the Akra header tonight, or tomorrow morning. I will be handling the install myself and then calling Mitch to perform a custom map for me. I too will post my findings on this thread, but only if my numbers beat yours.

No shame if another 14 takes me, big shame if anything else does. We are on the same team. However there is this guy I know I went easy on when he bought a Beemer. If I see him before akras even with weight 50lbs advantage. I am going to try and eat him ay every opportunity. Pay back they say is a bitch! He rubbed it in, it ate me up inside now I am going to give em a little taste of that feeling!!!
