Yep, baby skull hadn't lost baby teeth. Pretty freaky looking, and the gator had the same problem. His teeth didn't want to fall out either. He was one of my pets till about 4 1/2 feet.

That's just....insane...geez...amazing really.

Hey dude don't look back. It's good that your health and quality of life has improved as a result. I had wisdom teeth removed at 36 and some were growing into my jaw. When they cam out the alignment of my teeth were totally wrecked. Braces at 40 all is well right now today.

Nah...no lookin back here...forward...that's the only way.It can only get better.

What did you get to replace them Grn? Implants? Or what?
I ask because I will be doing something pretty much the same in 2014.

Hiya Priv...glad yer still around...they made set of dentures before pulling.Pulled em all...then placed the dentures in there....course...I couldn't really wear em but a few minutes at a time...pain...gums....sore.Now it's been a few weeks...after 'modding' my upper and lower dentures(myself)(filing off some hard rubbing spots here and there)...they're beginning to actually feel pretty good.I'll be getting two lower implants in about 7 months.I may go with four on the uppers...but at this point...I don't think I'll need em.Bottom...yup...gonna need implants.But at least now I'm beginning to be able to actually chew something up...not perfectly yet...but I can see that in the near future.Good luck with yours...first week or so is a bitch...healing...but it will get better.What you feel at first with the denture fitment is nothing like it will feel later on...so try to be patient;)

You know the implants are attachment posts that the denture clips onto...right?Fastened into the bone on the jaw.Everything has to heal really well before they go back and install the implants...so ya have to wait a while.I like em right now...I didn't think they were gonna be okay for a while.But now they're feeling pretty good.You won't regret it I don't think.

Cool, thanks for the info. If I can, I have some minor advice. Get some powdered whey isolate protein, and drink two "shakes" (water or milk, your choice) a day. That will give you 50g extra protein which will speed up the healing a lot.

I mean a LOT.

I just had another surgery the end of November, and protein has speeded up healing to the point where you can tell the difference.

A couple weeks is nothing to me, VA has done a lot worse to me over the decades since Vietnam.
