The Official Any Subject Thread
04/22/13 8:10 PM

I was a member of the busa.org back when and I started the second of these threads ever done there. Kinda nice to have a place to rant under the 14R banner!

For instance, on my home today I was damn near ran over by a ho in a Honda! I saw her and anticipated her stupid manouver and it was not an issue. But the texting bullshit while driving has to stop! Arggggh!
See... I feel better already! :))

I saw the car come over in my lane. I saw the winker come on as the car moved over. If I backed off, I had no clue who was behind me? If I backed off, the timing would be where they'd come into me. Time did not slow down as I said to myself, I bought this bike to do just this.

I accelerated away so quick, I never crossed the line in the HOV lane. I may have spooked the driver but I was lovin'it as I safely sped [inches] away...

Is there any other bike to be on?

That was my exact same reaction Hub, I have no desire to be rear ended under any circumstances. When in doubt, gas it! That old dirt bike motto still applies! :) scared me more than my idiot though, I was in second when I smashed it! :)) front end did a little dance about 12 inches off the ground!

I decided to have do or die test with the traction control yesterday while riding in the rain. So with TC3 on I took off from a stop sign at full bore, launched over the crown of the road I was crossing, and shit my pants. That stunt scared the hell out of me, if it weren't for the traction control safely setting the bike back on the road and keeping traction I would have cleared the entire far lane, could possibly had even made it into orbit around the moon. Needless to say TC works better than I had expected and I was really happy to be close to home cause I was in dire need of clean panties after that foolishness. Now I wish I could ride some more but we are in the middle of yet another snowstorm right now. This crap needs to stop, I've got crops I need to plant.

Dang nasty! My wife and were laughing so dang hard over that last one!!!! Glad ur tc works bud!!! Lol!!! When I finally got the nerve to 'test' it, I am not sure what mode I was in, but it slammed my nuts so hard into the tank that I still can't find one! :))) I may have been a might too aggressive with my throttle hand.

Ha! Man, that was my first time hammering it from a dead stop too, I don't know what scared me more, the raw power at acceleration or the unintended attempt at space exploration.

OMG, was out today too. Every time I peered into a vehicle's window, the operator was texting. It so great that have a cell phone usage while you drive ban here in Ontario. Unfortunately no one pays any attention. To the ban, the road and the motorcycle operator. I think if I ride my moto by your car and your texting, I have the right to kick your door panel in as I pass. No?

How about Daddy issues?

My father thinks that my divorced social life is "unusual." Guess what, Dad: being divorced IS not normal. NOT supposed to happen. See, Dad thinks being divorced is like The Rockford Files. ...as if that was a portrayal of normal adult life.

yeah that plastic sucks to get off... I have decided that in the next couple days I am going to make a video and put it on Youtube on how to get them off.

once you do it once its not so bad but there are still a lot of gotchas you have to watch out for.

Do I really need an NHRA license to run on local drag nights at a track????
What kind of numbers can I expect to hit on the 1/4 mile?
I thought it would be fun to hit up a couple tracks in my area but after flipping through their rules for open to the public drag racing events I'm not sure if I can race or not. Wtf I wanna have a little fun and keep it safe and legal at the same time.

Divorce, if any of us knew what a traumatic mistake we were making when we got married in the first place no one, I mean no one would do it! My wife asked me to consider moving on if she died and find relational happiness. I told her I'd be sad, but I would never shack up with another woman, nor would I bring on home under some kind of commitment. She cleverly asked me what I'd do then for companionship. I quickly told her, I'd ride my King and "rent companionship for 200 an hour" once a week! She didn't explore this topic further!#@.,*

Bah, they beat me to it... I only wish they had posted it 5 days sooner when I was cussing my plastic trying to get it off without breaking anything!

They did a great job tho.

Wolfman,
One thing they for got to mention is that 2 of the bolts on each side that hold on the midplastics are longer, 1 on each side... Also the quick rivets are not the same either so keep them separated. The ones that hold the rubber on the mid fairings are not the same as the others, and neither are the 2 that are right under the headlights on each side.

Omega thanks for the heads up bro, I will be installing the sliders when they arrive. Not looking forward to it. But the challenge will be appreciated!

Side note, notice no one has replied to the divorce/marriage comment post above.

I can't be alone?

I don't know about the divorce thing. I have only been married since 2004 and she told me to take some time and go ride. So the first week in June me and my best friend are riding to Tennessee for a week while she holds down the fort at home... Not only with our 11 month, 2 year and 5 year old girls but also with my mom who just had her hip replaced.

I got a good one. No divorce in my future... Unless I really screw up!
