I know very little about flashing but seems to me some of the stuff is prety straightforward if you have the software to edit the ecu. Rev limiter: pick your max rpm. Top speed limiter: on or off. When it comes to the actual tuning of stuff like flies, timing, fueling, I'm sure there are differences from one guys flash to the next. However, it seems entirely possible that all Schnitz would have to do is get ahold of an Ivan flashed ECU, read it and copy all the tuning #s. I don't mean to imply Schnitz would do thais. The point is that anyone could....and maybe they do. All you can do is get testimonials on which is best. SOme might be better for racing and others better for street riding. If all the tuner cares about is WOT, that is not going to be best for street riding. Go with what you hear works on this. I've never felt I've gone wrong by following the crowd when it comes to mods. In situations where stuff was just too expensive, I've made concessions but I always got the skinny on the less expensive v the crowd pleaser so I knew what I was getting.
No timing or fuel maps. Power commander still required.

Rook,
If Ivan uses another program, the cell could be in decimal, octal, ascii. You dropping a decimal onto an octal is like dropping oil into water. Though the tables will compute it, your software might +/- it as a 'will never use number,' and default to the limp of that +/- range.

As far as ive read schnitz only does the basics. Which for some is all you need.
Features: 06 - 11 zx14
Increased Rev Limiter to 11,500RPM (+500rpm from stockTop Speed Limiter RemovedGear Based Fuel Trims Removed from Gears 1-3Secondary Throttle Blades Open More Aggressively And Stay Open
How does your service differ from others – Our reflashing services remove restrictions that the factory has programmed to meet government regulations and that reduce throttle response and power output for novice riders. You are not purchasing a “lifetime” flashing subscription for services you won’t use. While we do make some adjustments to the fuel tables to match adjustments to other settings, we do not provide “maps” for various aftermarket exhaust systems. We believe that you should have control over fuel adjustments with units such as Power Commanders that can be adjusted to match your specific needs.
Do they remove safety mode??? No timing added or fuel mods. Pc5 or pc3 required for tuning. Which is good if your gonna run nos or other power adders you tune with pc or other controllers or just want some of the factory restrictions moved and add a set of slipons and go

Before you do any reflash you need to know what is going to be done and how it will change YOUR bike and it's performance, what do you want it to do? Do you want all out performance or a smoother street machine? Have you made other mods and how will they work with a reflash, you need to talk to whoever is going to do the work and discuss how everything will work together, if they don't have time to talk to you then you need to find someone else. Do some homework before you spend any money, ALWAYS remember, you get what you pay for!!! Stick with someone who is reputable and stands behind their work, avoid places like "Joe's Bar & Grill and ECU reflash Joint"

After a bout 3k or more miles on the bike you'll notice she seems tame and lacking from 3k -7k range. Once above that she's a beast and nothing matches her. Depending on what bike you had before. Remove the secondary flys just for fun. You'll notice a totally different animal and hit from 3k on up. Get a flash and from 3k and up you'll be like wtf. 3k to 8k bike becomes baliztic to red line. I've done a number of different the mods on my bike in the last 2 years. I've got over 27k miles on her in the 2 years ive owned her.. there is a difference you can feel and experience with these mods. I have posted dyno charts and experience in other thread's on my mods and riding experience s.

so you have flash and power comm. Flies removed, brocks pair block off
yes. Left pc5 as I also was going to do custom map with race fuel. Also stock gearing with a 10 inch stretch.

Between the curve, Mav's lost mph but gained ET, the flash looks like a shorter frequency wave with a 'robust grunt' that signs off up top
Almost correct. More power hits sooner and takes less time to redline. Even with extended redline power drops off before 11k. 1st run no tune or flash power drops off at 10500. With pc5 custom tune power stops at 10600 rpm, with flash drops off at 108500. Hard to see in charts. Extended rev Limiter just gets you a little head room when shifting and high speed runs. Race fuel and some engine moods you will probably be able to use that exta rpm range.
