Went camping this weekend. Family drove and I rode. So me and a buddy set off no freeway trip to the lake.

First stop was on Mormon Emigrant trail. The picture below is of a horrible motorcycle accident in 1989. A young unexperienced kid driving a 2 ton truck fully loaded, lost control on the 8% downgrade crossed over the double yellow the same time 5 harley riders were passing. Truck killed all 5 riders. The heat from the fire was so intense that it melted engines. Wonderful memorial has been setup. Riders stop by and leave notes and items to pay there respect.

Next stop was up top of highway 88. The view was amazing.

Finally at Lake Caples to get my camping on.

Is that "Caples Lake" on Hwy 88?

Openroad you are correct. It is Caples Lake on hwy 88, just past Kirkwood.
