My First Post
08/09/09 8:28 PM

I have been a long time lurker, Just thought I would make my first post and formally introduce myself. I got my 14 on July 1st it's an 09 monster edition I like the green on black look, but I took the stickers off the sides. I moved to Fairfield, CA in May from Grand Forks, ND due to military move. Been in the Air Force for going on 7 years. I am an Aircraft Fuel Systems Craftsman I have a lot of Air Craft work under my belt like: Kc-135, Rc-135, E-8, B-1, F-15, F-16, C-17, C-5 and the Kc-10. Been to the Sand Box more times than I can count going again in a bit, soon. My experience in riding is dirt bikes and four/three wheelers. I have taken the 2 courses in motorcycle riding the Beginner Riders Course (BRC) from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and the Air Forces AMC Sport Bike course. Learned quite a bit from both of them and definitely getting away from my bad habits learned on dirt riding. Well I am done talking heres a pic of my baby.

I want to do a LOT to her in time......in time........

Nice bike, Dr. Might suggest a Power Comander as the first mod. It has smoothed out throttle response on my 08 nicely and it will have an important impact on other mods i plan to do.

Maybe this is an Aussie thing - but what's with all the Military dudes here? Is there something about the ZX14 that attracts uniform??

Anyways, I'm not saying it's a bad thing by any means. I'm well grateful for the work that you guys do - regardless of which country you're doing it for. It's a service to your community and that's to be respected.

Welcome to the forum as a posting member. Drops your thoughts, it's not as scary as it seems!

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/world/ap/52847027.html Funny farm? It's a shame theses young guns have to teach morals to a savage group called "!@#$^$*"; and that was a nice term selling your daughter for your habit.

Bike habit only kills the least savvy. Welcome home soldier. Now, since you had the savvy training to survive "the menace" you have this other war to contend with and it's called, "Traffic." Good thing you are getting the bike training and it should be mandatory you get up and running with some "Sav" as in point and shoot training.

I'd show you some, 'radical riding" techniques, but they'd throw me out thinking I was trying to kill use is...

WOT?

Thanks for the welcome guys.

"Is there something about the ZX14 that attracts uniform??"

I wouldn't say that necessarily, but here but the military overall has a high riding percentage, maybe the thrill of it?? it does attract me though she is one hot bike I gotta say

"regardless of which country you're doing it for."

True, But I would prefer your an Alli. I have worked with RAF those Fcukers r crazy but good guys love to drink and have a good time. Helped them work a C-130 that hit a bird in the air and tore through the leading edge of the wing and ended up in the fuel tank well at least bones ended up in there.

"you have this other war to contend with and it's called, "Traffic.""

Definitely, I have already had to knock "pound" on one cagers back passenger side window for merging into my lane and not looking. I have also been deliberately cut-off. Soon I will get my Kevlar reinforced gloves and I will rapp my fist against their window maybe mirrors

The ol'lady and I were watching Jason's TV stunt show tonight, filming some military safety movie with Keith Code and I told her about my training; she interrupts me and tells me that if were to school some guys, I wind up killing them, and I said, "That's WOT I told them." Yeah, She knows me pretty well.

Get that training or die!
