S1000RR owner new to the site
06/21/13 6:48 AM

Waiting on delivery of my 2013 ZX-14R ABS model to come in. I was stuck between the K1300S and the ZX-14R. Basically came down to what I've test ridden. Long story short, stationed in England, BMW UK dealeer insurance doesn't cover me so couldn't test ride the K1300S.

I plan on touring/mile crunching with the new ride. I had a Tiger Explorer 1200, but for some reason that was hurting my back when I would ride. So I looked into the hypersport tourers. As for mods for the ZX-14R, I will be dumping those bowling ball launchers and getting some lighter nicer slip-ons. I know I won't be stretching it, chroming it out, adding neon lights or putting a big fatty rear tire on the back. That's just not my thing to do to bikes.

My other girl.

Thanks man.

Can you explain why the pics I posted are cut off? Is there a setting I need to do or are photobucket links going to do this when posting pics?

They are larger than the site supports.

The software behind this forum isn't the greatest, but there is a good group of people here.

Welcome and great looking RR. Live those rims and that Vince pipe really bites your ears off! I have a friend I ride with who has the Leo Vince' and it really sounds good
I just put my slick plug/coupler in. What a difference! I can't imagine what the bike will be like with hand full exhaust PCV and rev limiter off! Yes, I can!

I think that makes 4 of us on this site that have both the RR and the 14R. Both are incredible bikes. The 14R is the mother ship and the RR, a tie- fighter!

What color 14R did you get?

Enjoy em both and congratulations

Thanks guys.

I'm still waiting on my ZX-14R. I will get it on Friday then I have to wait on the some paper work from the UK government since this vehicle will be tax free. I ended up ordering the special addition 2013 color.

I'm hoping the ZX-14R will convince me to go down to one bike. I'm going to really hate parting out my S1000RR or selling it as is. I think I did a good job on getting it to look proper for a 2010 model. I don't see very many mineral silver S1000RR's around and probably none with the gold OZ wheels.

Here's a Stock VS. Flash results and Leo Vince slip-ons.

The flash was done in England. The company was BSD. I did this flash with 600 miles on the bike. I break my bikes in hard and don't baby them. I will be bringing the bike back in since I have over 2K miles. He wanted to try it again after the engine got some use.

I think Apex is just dying to get rid of his M4s. If you want slipons, those have been my top pick by a wide margin ever since I got into bikes. Unique, look great, sound great and very lightweight.
