Is the front part of the tank plastic? I ordered a Joe Rocket Magnetic bag which is called the Manta XL, I'm hoping it will work or I'll just use it on my Ducati but I didn't really want to.

I like the Manta because of the cell phone pouch on top which I plan on using for my radar detector.

The part in front of the gap is plastic, yes.

It'll stick over your fuel cap though. I'm pretty sure I saw a member do that in the past.

I have the Manta it works great. I just bought the Coretech because its bigger in normal config and in expanded its much bigger.

I have 2 magnetic tank bags, a large one and a small. They work fine. I have them back enough that the magnets get plenty of metal to stick to.

I Also have a Manta and it drops right on. I also used a larger bag that worked well. The plastic seems far enough forward and there is enough metal to grab all the bags I have.
