Laptop woes
09/21/14 3:05 PM

Wasn't really sure if to post this question about my laptop woes under this topic or not,but maybe it'll get some views and I can receive some helpful input.Hopefully from some of you who are a little more computer savy can help.
I just acquired a used PC3 from another 14 owner who has moved on to a different ride.Well I knew I'd have to teach myself how to install and how to also how to adjust for my 14 since installing my TwoBro slips.
But Murphys Law has to come in to play as I have started having some problems with my laptop trying to watch videos.First evidence cam as I went to the Two Bros site and tried viewing videos there they wouldn't play. The screen would just go "snowy" and show ERROR:Please try again later.
So I even tried How To videos on You Tube and same results exactly. Not knowing much I have tried some steps to see if I can correct this problem.
I've removed Java and re-installed. No Help
I've removed Adobe Flash and re-installed most current version. No Help
Once before I had the same problem and while I thought that once I got things working I save the info of how I done it....I didn't or just can't find it.
I felt I went into my tools settings under the advance tab and checked/unchecked a option there, but my senior brain can't seem to remember what I done exactly. It may just be something simple, but obviously can't remember.

I'm anxious to use the PC since I understand it will help improve the performance of the bike and since owning this 2010 I'm loving every minute of when I can get to ride.
If anyone can offer any help I'd surely appreciate. Thanks

It says try later is a lot of eyes on utube and it shows the hours at peak times is that blue bar at the bottom that says you are waiting for the vid to start? Click on that. If you can get on line, write, load a photo, see this post you sent, it's not the laptop. Watch videos when most eyes are asleep.

Appreciate that input. Was up in the am to about 2:30am prior to leaving for CHarlotte Sat morn. Fustration was having me attempt every option I could think of to no avail. Also as youtube for one has millions....well I mean Millions always viewing videos, though maybe not PC3 tutorial videos.Besides my first experience with the video playback was bokth on TwoBros and also on Dynojets PC site where they also have videos.Which I was unable to watch.

You may be right.....it could be whatever hour I try.....others are beginning to view before I do.But seems unlikely,i'm just thinking as I've experienced this before......it's anywhere from my updated browser to the laptop. But I really appreciate any input as it helps me exercise these few braincells I have left!

I have the same problem here and it's a tower. How about your browser? Firefox is faster, has more bells and whistles. Are we still with that bill gates deal and his standard browser? Next one is to close that browser completely so you are at the desktop, then open to a new browser. My next one is to refresh when that buffeting ring goes round and round. Try those.

Appreciate the input. I had switched to FF during my efforts the other night, same results.I've been sitting here one by one on/off of checking boxes within both the advance & security tabs of internet options.Long process, but after each change for each box checked or unchecked I would try and view a video.Always going to a different video during each step.Nothing ever seems to make a difference. What was odd is that certain advertisement video on various video starts would play. I'm going to do the FF option once again as you outlined. Some has me curious though as you say you experienced a tower problem. Monday of this past week out cable/isp source done a late nite scheduled "Tune Up" to our cable. However it knocked out my cable so that once beyond the service completion hour I did not have service for any cable and they had to come out and replace an external piece to get my service back.I wouldn't think these two problems are tied together.......but anymore I see a lot happen I thought would never take place!

No, once you are on line you are on line. What are you using, XP win8 win7?

http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-8/how-to-run-disk-cleanup-in-windows-8/

This one starts at XP and winds its way down to win8 so I'm always cleaning the trash that follows me around or leaves something like a cookie you can wipe out. Other things are all the games they force down your throat so you can delete those as per url. Not a bad walk thru for the computer challenged like myself.

Hub,you know you may have helped me pinpoint the problem. Not sure yet and not jumping to conclussions until things are working as they should but.....

After you mentioned the tower problem you experienced which reminded me of the cable/isp provider problem that happen here this week,i begin thinking.Sometimes good.....but maybe not all the time. Well I started playing around again between the FFox and IE and of course playing with the internet options when I though, maybe I should contact my isp company.

So I did and as the response recordings started you receive before you can talk to a REAL person, well the problem of slow internet problems were mentioned and seemed to be a current problem. So when I did get a chance to talk directly to someone I think I got confirmation the problem was leading back to them.Or as the tech was explaining....some 3rd party or true internet provider or carrier or secret agent was trying to determine where/how/what the %$#@! was the prob as many were having internet/xbox/android problems.WTF I thought.....should he have mentioned NSA or something??? Anyway....maybe after a couple of days this may get corrected,i'm told just to be patient. When I ask would the marketing director send out a email saying hey all we r fixed! I received no confirmation, but again...just keep checking back....

Hmmmmm....should I check my survival gear inventory....

Oh.... I forgot to thank you for posting the link of the disk cleanup. However that was one of my 1st steps as well as the running of my superantispyware to remove crap and of course a defrag. I run windows seven and I'm curious if pinning of the disk cleanup as I seen could be done on another OS could be done on my Win 7 OS? In any case it's easy enough to retrieve when needed. Suppose i'll chill for a couple of days and if I'm not carried off by men in black suits anytime soon, maybe i'll be able to report if things return to 100% or not!
