GEN 1 , 06 Very Reliable for me..
01/21/18 12:12 PM

12 years old
34,xxx miles
Kept indoors.
Only issues ever were
1. Chaffed fuel sending wire under fuel tank. Cause, i didnt stow it properly.
2. Faulty 6 point ground connection,, Moist, shorted.. 2.00 $$ fix.
Now this caused me to suspect other items that i replaced with no effect.
3. Other than normal wear and tear items.

Gen 1 68,000 + miles. Only issue was a bad coil and a shorted battery. Runs like new, eats tires at a scarily fast pace....

I noticed a lot of guys who drag race seem to run the Gen 1 14's or some of the Gen 1 parts on the newer 14's. My 06 with over 25k miles still pulls very hard and shifts perfect. Only thing I noticed is a little cam tensioner noise which I plan to fix soon via swapping it out to a manual unit.

55 & still feeling the need for speed.
