Yana Shiki windscreen-don't

The color is beautiful and it looks fine from a distance. It's the only blue OEM replacement that I was able to find
on the market.

It lacks a blacked out point to conceal the wiring in front of the instrument cluster but the semi-transparent color obscures that enough to make it sort of cool and mysterious looking. The only problem is the gap that is present all along the edge. The reason, they did not make this thing with a step to interlock with the top fairing like the OEM fairing has. It will not sit flush to the fairing surface. Looks a little shabby up close. Not horrible but if you really care about the bikes appearance or more, aerodynamics, this one won't fill the bill.

Not only that, it weighs more than the stock screen even though the top is cut down a bit compared to stock.

Because it is the only OEM replacement screen in blue that I was able to find, I will be trying to dremmel out a step so this thing will fit better. If it works well, I'll post it. I'm sure it is going to be a great deal of time to try to fix it.

Geez...yeah...sorry Rook ya got a bogus screen...there ARE several mfg's out there that have the same thing.Bummer really....after all these years...all year models are the same on screen base fitment.See if you can get yer money back...They probably already KNOW these don't fit.I know your disappointment.I bought TWO top end screens from supposedly top end mfg's...same thing....lousy fitment. My fix at the time was to get some door/window rubber moulding and kinda push it down in there so the land would look smooth...just cut to fit the length of the screen edge.It didn't do it for me though...I KNEW it wasn't right...so I ditched the screens. The moulding did give it a smooth appearance though.

How about Motorcycle Superstore?...they have a megaload of screens....probably some in Blue...I'm pretty sure.Maybe go with Zero Grav or MRA....I don't know about Sporttech....Memphis shades...I'd stay away from them as well.NO POWERBRONZE either...poor fitment...sorry.MRA will make you a sweet custom colored screen....called a "neon blue"...it's nothing near neon...just a really nice mild Blue tint...great fitment as well...you may have to call them and order/pay over the phone...can't go wrong with them.Again...sorry Bro.That color IS nice.

MAYBE...you could remove those screws...get the tip of the screen down in there at the nose....see if you can get the fitment lined up nicely that way...THEN....mark the holes with a sharpie pen..while holding it in there as ya mark all the way around at the screws(go STRAIGHT DOWN...not off center of the screw holes in the fairing....then dremel off (elongate)just enough to get the well nuts to sit in the 'new' cutouts...that might work.Once she's tightened down....it won't be moving.Don't go bigger than the drilled holes already...the well nuts won't tighten down...it'll be a wasted project.

Yeah...okay...I see the deal at the nose...you won't be able to do like I mentioned...the problem's as you said...no land.Like mine were.

You can fit that rubber moulding in there though...maybe black? You know...the screen moulding stuff.Anyone else won't even see it once you fit it in.At least they won't know what they're looking at.....you'll have to back out those screws a shade though to get it to sit in there nicely...then tighten em down a bit.

well, I googled ZX-14 windscreen blue OEM replacement but Yana Shiki is all that came up. Zero Gravity and Puig make nice OEMs but no blue. I have the Puig blue DB. Great quality and fit and just a tiny bit heavier than stock...which is amazing considering it is larger. I saw a blue chrome screen but I want clear. I'm stuck with tis thing. I have to try to dremmel it if I want a blue OEM replacement. If I mess up it goes in the trash. $40 lesson.

"If I mess up it goes in the trash. $40 lesson"....tell me about it;).MRA sells a 'spoiler screen"...in BLUE for the 14...I've got a clear one on my bike right now...it looks virtually stock...except for a one inch curve upwards along the rear arc of the screen....fits perfect....looks OEM for sure. You can check em out on their website....partially German though...

Thanks, yannih. Looks like a double bubble or some inbetween stock/DB screen. I already have a blue Puig DB. I bet that $31 Chinese screen would fit fine though I see they claim it does not fit like stock.
