Thought Id post this up for anyone in Sydney Australia to post a pic of their bike and also so there's an idea of who's around with 14's that might be interested in getting away for rides.
The boys I ride with (2-3 others) try to get away for 2-3 days at a time on the bikes once every 2 months to anywhere that has great roads and very few jealous boys in blue (Alpines, Bonang Hwy, Oxley Hwy, etc)...
Riding ability is no issue but if you're on a 14 you must be okay...
A great days ride and a beer afterwards in a country town pub with great locals.
Does it get any better?

Can't get away for for 2-3 days. I'm a single parent with a 16 year old daughter. Can't be too far away for too long.
Most weekends I get out when I can.
Putty road and stop at the Grey Gum cafe then off to Singleton and back.
M4 to Katoomba through Mt Victoria and down the Bell's Line road to Richmond.
Royal National Park Sutherland through to Wollongong and stop to watch the hang gliders.
Hope to see you on the road. Maybe we can meet for a coffee at the Grey Gum one Sat/Sun?
Off to Eastern Creek for a track day in July.

Thought I would bump this post. This is mine and I'm from near Windsor in Sydney so ideally located for various runs like Putty, Old Bells etc. I'm a shift worker so can't guarantee any particular day without about 6 weeks notice. New to the ZX and looking forward to meeting up at so,estate with other Sydney ZX riders.

I was just looking at the pic I posted above and so much has been done to the bike since then.

Regarding Sydney ZX-14 riders and their bikes, sadly no one really responded to this thread apart from Jordan.

Aussie, and anyone else in Sydney, I'm always up for a ride whether it's a short notice day ride or a planned 3-5 dayer.
So let me know as I'm always interested...

I'm actually leaving for a 2 day ride with the boys early tomorrow morning.
Looks like we'll have around 8 heading away on this one but I'll be the only one on a 14.

Need to change that.

I'll give this post a boost.. Im also from Sydney, and im keen for runs with other 14's :-) Putty/Grey/Gum is my local stomp.. but happy to go further if i can manage the time...

Yannih, you arent by any chance out on a ride with my mate John and his K1300 are you? He shot me a pic of the bikes he is riding with, and one is a yoshi laden 14, with a black/red bagster ... (thanks again for the advice, im loving the bag)

Let's set a date? I need at least a month to book a definite date off, being a shift worker. But keen to catch up with other Sydney ZX14s! cJ, I'm the same, I live in Windsor so Putty, Grey Gums is amongst my favourite and convenient of rides. Even better to go via Broke and return via Wollombi and Wisemans Ferry.

Well, I cant give a months notice, but I can let anyone who is interested know there will be a 3 day ride in mid to late October as a kind of farewell from the riding boys as I will be leaving the country in early December to retire.
Anyone is welcome, but especially ZX-14 riders...

"retire" as in working days are over? Congrats, yannih! Many years of relaxation and adventure!

A bit of golf (truly stupid game)
Long alpine bush walks with the wife
Take in the beauty of the place every day
And pretty much anything I want to do.
Not the worst setup going around.

By the way Sydney boys, that 3 day ride in mid October is still happening...

i'll be doing putty/greygum/singo.. onwards on saturday.. early start with some mates. one on his gs800, and another on my old fz1.. anyone interested?

would love to come yannih, but i am busy for the rest of October :-( The best i can manage is a Putty run for the new few weeks.. Good luck with the ride, and enjoy retirement mate!

Just also letting anyone who may be interested to know that we are riding to the Bombala bike show.
There are 3 coming from Vic and 7 from Sydney confirmed so far.
Riding to Tathra Friday 13 Nov and staying the night there, riding to Bombala the next day on Saturday 14 Nov, see the show, ride back to Tathra and stay the night again, then ride home on Sunday 15 Nov.
Great run with some cracking roads.
Plus the odd beer.
Should be fun.
