I was about to order up a Concours seat for my 14 and then today I saw a 2010 Concours and they changed the seat to all black! Were there any other changes to this new version that would prevent it from being used on the 14?

I had the sales guy remove it so I could snap a picture for reference...

I sat on a used 08 Concours today and the seat was nice a broken in and OMFG was that like a cloud compared to the OEM 14 seat! I am definitely ordering one, but if I can get one in all black instead of the two tone I would.

Thanks for those pic's man that does help, I would say they look identical. The parts fiche online looks like the only thing that changed was the description from "blk/gry" to "black"

I am probably going to order one very soon in black, they are going for $380 new and I think with my local discount at the stealership where I bought my 14 it should come to around $350 (15% off list price). I've been watching online (ebay, etc) and haven't seen anything so far.

I have read so many positive comments about the C14 seat on the 14 but didn't get to sit on one until yesterday, and it was a used one with just over 5,000 miles so the seat was well broken in and it felt oh so good!

Hold for awhile on ebay.You might find one on there alot cheaper.

Yeah I would prefer black but if I could save $200 and end up with grey/black that would be nice lol

Good call on searching the C14 forums, didn't really think about that approach. I just found a guy who listed his 2010 C14 seat for $100 +shipping... I also found three others with 08/09 seats between $100 and $150 +shipping so hopefully I'll snag something cheap.

They are all a few week old listings but maybe I'll hear back from someone soon. I do worry about dealing with complete strangers and pay-pall etc... I prefer face to face or paying with a credit card whenever possible.

I'm in the same boat Keyes. If you get a reply from more than one of the guys selling the Concours seat, let me know as I'm also looking for one.

Guys...I found this on ebay....$304.00 plus you send them your OEM seat.Don't know about shipping...whether you pay or what....BUT....it kinda looks like it just may be a keeper?It sits quite a bit lower....the cover can be custom made for your wants."ballz motorsports" is the name of the seller's store.Might be worth gettin?Looks comfy enough...and the height looks really good.(to me).

Well I am happy to report I found a guy on http://forum.concours.org/ who agreed to ship it to me for $150

He bought his 08 Concours and the stock seat was too high for him, so he got the lower Kawi gel-seat after putting less than 50 miles on his stock seat.

I actually saw one 2010 seat for sale, but it was already gone... considering this 08 seat is basically brand new I decided to go for it. I know it will look good b/c I always see Blue07's... can't wait!!!

I was about to pay for a Sargent but decided against it and canceled the order. They are at 3 weeks build time now anyway.

My stealer ordered me a 2010 Concours 14 seat from Kawasaki, the low gel option version.

It will be here this coming Tuesday, so just enough time to swap latch hardware and adjust it before the 3 day ride around the Chesapeake Bay which starts Friday the 20th.

With my customer discount, I got it for what I could have got it on ebay so thats good enough.
