Second Place in King of the Street! ....
08/25/15 6:50 PM

Did it on a spun rod bearing and popped my motor the next morning trying to figure out why I had a nasty weird vibration after 120ish mph...took a look and saw the bottom of the connecting rod hanging out the case....I swear the vibration was coming from the rear end of the bike...it was throwing me all over the track on the top end and couldn't ride a straight line for the life of me...

Pic is upside down...

Ouch man... What oil were you running when it failed? You recently put a pan on it no? Is it possible that you left something out when you put the pan back on? There's an O-ring that goes on the filter corner side that seals an oil passage for proper pressure. Maybe the oil cross over tube in the pan didn't seat correctly or cut an o-ring? Keep us up to date man and let us know if we can help.

I'll tear into it this winter...looking for a wrecked bike through insurance auctions right now. But I have an odd feeling about that exact o-ring you're talking about,Mav. I had a bit of a battle with the pan gasket while I was installing the billet pan the day before...also when I finally did the billet pan I installed the dme oil pressure bypass and muzzys pump plate...maybe it was a tad late on the oil mods? I know dumping oil down the track twice this summer prob didn't help matters much...lol...smfh

That's a lot of changes right before the failure Nasty. Pull that pan and tell me if I'm right about the O-ring.
