WTB: Centerstand
03/15/19 5:25 AM

Good Morning All,

Working on my wish list for my 2012 ZX14. Sold my 2010 Kawasaki Concours late last year and looking to make my ZX a little bit more user / tour friendly.

Does anyone have a complete centerstand kit for sale? Figured I'd ask here before buying from an online vendor.

Other goodies on the wish list are:
Frame sliders (had GSG on my '07 ZX)
Passenger hand rail (behind seat)
Top rear plastic cover (to cover area after rear rack install)

If you have any of the above items, would you please offer details / pictures, and price (shipped) to Zip Code 01220 in MA.

Thank you,
John

John, I have a complete Gen 1 kit with lifting handle that oughta feel familiar to you...:)
I bolted it to my Gen 2 but ran into clearance problems with the aftermarket slip ons.
Get in touch if you're interested.
I'd suggest Wild Hare for the frame sliders...I got a set there and like the replaceable end caps.
I might have a line on the grab rail and cover..let me look into that.
PM me if interested.
Hank

The Kawasaki factory optional center stand IS compatible with many aftermarket slip-on exhausts. Examples: Delkevic, 2 Brothers, and numerous others. You can tell the fully compatible aftermarket exhaust by the metal "stop" with rubber bumper that they weld to the righthand muffler pipe to provide for the center stand to rest against when in the "up" position.

At least SOME other aftermarket systems can be "made" compatible by buying and installing the "stop" made and sold by Brock's performance. It mounts to the same frame part as the center stand does, and stops the cneter stand before it encounters the exhaust piping. However, this Brock's solution only works with exhaust systems that do not run their piping "tighter" to the centerline of the bike than the OEM system, because the clearance bewteen the Brock's stop and the OEM piping is VERY tight - maybe as little as 1/8 inch.

How do I know all this? Painful learning experience over the past few weeks, that finally got me successfully into a fully compatible Delkevic carbon fiber slip-on system. :) (see my recent posting thread on it)
