Sounds like you're doing the right thing-parts are correct-my bolt is 1 and 1/4 inch long(the threads).Try pressing on the plastics there as you turn the bolt.Push in on it and get it started.Push firmly on the plastics right at the bolt. Those will keep the nut from turning on ya.You might have to get ya a flashlight and make sure yer gettin the bolt in there straight on the threads. The wellnut can't go anywhere with that pressure on it holding it in there.

yep, correct length bolt. I press on the plastics so hard I'm afraid it's going to crack. I left the bolt tightened up in a wellnut on my bench. Can't ride anyway, so I'll let it sit and see if it retains the bulge. I can't believe I've spent so much time trying to get this to work. Good thing I bought extras, cause that 1st wellnut is getting worn out from all this fiddling. Had to take it out anyway since I had to buy a new battery. First motorcycle battery I've had to buy in 30 years.

Ok guys, SAME EXACT ISSUE HERE! A rubber well nut cut nearly in half needs to be replaced... The well nut that secures a corner of the foreman grill to the fuel tank/airbox assembly is NOT the smaller more common OEM schematic part number 92015 (5mm) well nut as shown at such web sites as Babbits, this is a Kawasaki error in its parts diagrams I guess, this fuel tank well nut is much LARGER, outter diameter of rubber is much larger than the common 92015 well nuts that secure most of the fairing and windscreen bolts.....I need your help in finding a sorce for the larger mystery well nut..

ANYONE:

a) What is the OEM ordering part number for for this larger fuel tank well nut that seats the long bolt through the upper corner of foreman grill in to the airbox/fuel tank housing (on the larger OEM well nut I took out it says 1420D, but thats not an OEM part number.

b) Where can we order these Kawasaki larger well nuts?

Thanks!

92015 on the fuel tank fische at $4.60 each + shipping.

A dealer will charge twice that. By the way, I ended up wrapping mine with electrical tape to get it to stop spinning so the bolt could tighten up.

Just go to Lowe's and pick them up. They have both sizes that are used on the 14 and they are less than a dollar each.

They also carry the push pins as well as the one that holds the lower cowl together in the center.
