More R77 Questions
08/30/15 8:49 PM

I'll start off by saying I'm sorry but can't find anything by searching.

1) Do they make a Titanium system? I can't find it anywhere

2) I like my low end power, will I lose any with the 4-2-1?

3) With the baffle in, this is the quietest 4-2-1 system you can get, correct?

Thanks Ya'll

"2) I like my low end power, will I lose any with the 4-2-1?"...you'll probably get a shade more actually.

"3) With the baffle in, this is the quietest 4-2-1 system you can get, correct?"...maybe...possible.Mine was nice and mellow until I opened her up...then she barked pretty good.

I know Yoshi do titanium R-77 cans as I had them on my 07 14 but I am unsure of titanium full systems.
Give them a call.
Also I tried them with baffles in and out.
If you are after quiet, the baffles in are definitely that.
I would think right up there with the quietest.

I chose out which gave a medium level growl...

I just completed swapping my 2013 stock system for a Yosh R77 SS.. We took a baseline run a couple weeks ago just for this purpose.. As you can see ( hopefully) the Yosh gained maybe 2 hp from 4500 to 7000 rpm and actually lost about a1/2 hp on the top while trque did pretty much the same gain/loss percentages .
24 Pounds weight diff between teh two systems .
Sound of teh R77 without silencer ( as tested) was exactly what I had hoped for ..A very strong sounding motor without being the slighteset bit obnoxious.( I will see if I can upload dynoo run)

Hope this helps

I wonder if a flash affects teh amount of hp teh motor makes..I know it limits speed but in doing so, does it somehow cap HP at teh same time ??..I am way over my head in understanding these electronics but am trying real hard to understand what "the bike does" vs what a tuner can do...

Plus I get lost on this site trying to remember which thread I am in LOL..

Chrly the only thing a tuner can do is try to find the most optimal settings for your riding goals, conditions (region, fuels, etc.) and performance. Since you have PCV, no need to get one of the more expensive flashes that put a map into the bike. You at most need one of the utility flashes like Schnitz (or similar reflasher) has for ~$75. Up rev limit to 11500, remove safety modes, top speed removed and maybe a couple other things.

Keep in mind, ECU reflashing will likely void most warrant-able issues, probably anything to do with combustion and electronics and possibly other areas. So if you want to maintain your warranty, my recommendation is by a 2nd ECU to use and keep the OE factory. That's what I did.

I'm like Vic, not really concerned about "MAX" HP, love the looks and sound of my R-77's.

If you want all around smooth power and great performance then you need a reflash and a good map for your pcv. I got my flash and map from Ivan, his map is REALLY smooth all the way from the bottom to redline, no surprises from the throttle. Ivan does have a few extras in his flash like having the cooling fans come on sooner, keeps the engine cooler around town. Great guy to talk to, very anal about making everything work correctly.

Ivan's Rockland County Motorcycle 845-268-1212 Give Ivan a call and see what you think, dime well spent in my opinion!
