I've got a full set of luggage for sport touring / camping from RKA, very nicely made and great attachment system. Excellant paint protection, too. My experience with RKA goes way back to 1990, when they started, pretty much. Had their luggage on my ZX-11 when I toured western Europe for a month, camping all the way.

The new RKA luggage is much better than it was then, too.

Great people too, met Richard and his wife in person in California and rode with them back in the day a few times.

This is their ZX14 webpage : http://www.rka-luggage.com/A14%20Photo%20Gallery/06kaw/ZX14.html

I think you are referring to the Manta XL.
Fits the 14 perfect.

Sorry I don't have a better pic of it.
It doesn't hold much, but I usually don't need to carry much.
I use a tailbag for trips that require me to carry larger items like raingear.
I bought mine from DK, so yea I probably paid too much.
If you're near Seattle, someone just posted a brand new one on PNWriders for $25.

+1 on the XL Manta.
Pick up a piece of perforated rubber mat [Oxford call it the 'blanket' and charge double]
from a foam and rubber shop for a few bucks and cut to shape. No scratches....

This is why I've been a fan of RKA all these years. Don't have to find something to keep the tank bag from scratching the tank, its made with a non-slip bottom and attachment pads which don't even put the slightest swirls in my mms paint.

Lots of size choices too.

If the Manta is +1, the RKA products are +1000000000. Of course they aren't cheap either, but neither was my motorcycle.

Never had any issues with the Manta damaging my paint. Of course I don't just huck it on there either, and realized a long time ago that some rocks are magnetic ,and you should always check the bottom of your tank bag for tiny pieces of gravel before putting it on your bike. ;)

I use a MagKnight tank bra, however, and it has gotten gnarled where the bag contacts it.

I think this would have happened with any magnetic style bag though.
I also have some Nelson Rigg bags. I do not reccomend their magnetic tank bags because the magnets are way too strong and the rubber on the bottom is very thin. They are very difficult to place on the tank w/o the magnets slapping down pretty hard.
The rubber on the bottom of the Manta is actually pretty thick (compared to other bags I've owned including other Joe Rockets) and the magnets are strong without being TOO strong.

+ 2 on the Manta XL, a great bag, I also have one, however, I mostly use Rapid Transit RECON 11 bag, which also has the rear padding for tank protection from Jacket rubbing and it has a front magnet that can be placed on the tiny strip of metal right in front of gas cap. It is smaller than Manta XL, but larger than the regular Manta, which also is part of my gear collection.
