Been looking for something new for a while now, as I've posted on here, to replace my white '13 ZX14R, but have just found nothing that beats out the big ZX! which is good! cuz I already have the best bike! ... but also bad cuz when you want something new and there's nothing better, well, damn!

Been looking at everything under the sun, including all the Japs, all the Euros, naked bikes, sport tourers, meh, nothin', nah, nope, meh ... where's the "indifferent shrug" emoji?? If I had to choose today, it'd prob be an MT-10 SP, but even that, well its looks just don't bowl me over. "Kinda" like the BMW S1000XR, but it's pricey and just doesn't seem 'better enough' than the ZX or MT to justify the cost and potential reliability issues (however rare they may be).

So with mine having something like 16k miles, but more importantly to me, 10 years old, for the past 2-3 years I've even considered just buyin' a new ZX14R ... except ... I don't really care for the new colors ... blacks, grays, mixes of blacks and grays ... greens, blues ... meh, they're "OK", but to my eye I still like the white better. To each their own, of course

Well ... I think Kawasaki has made me a new bike! It's not groundbreaking ... not new ... old, in fact ... just has BNG ... but ... I like it!

The funny thing is, I've always loved the custom ICON Motorsports 14 that looks very similar to this, and I even mocked up mine to consider making my own version but just decided it wasn't worth messin' with, since white is nice. Well, now I can just buy it from Kawi

Totaled my 2013, bought a 2017, only difference was a fresh set of plugs in the 2017. Other than that, not much has changed. It has to be a leap to the next generation that stomps on the 14. There is nothing out there that can sway me away from this bike.

Of course I'm looking at every brand's website. Something to pass the day for entertainment purposes only. Cash waiting mother tea. Torquith me hard momma san.

Chased parts for a buddy. Kawi parts guys says the 14's 40th is a face over. Maybe 2025 for something new. But he said he doesn't see 14's doing well out the door, but he did say it was his observation locally, does not know nationally.

Looking at 23k and first round of front pads, maybe on the 3rd set of tires. Going to other websites and read the problem child everyone owns, here we sit with something as reliable as a kitchen fridge.

Riding that slow ass ST1100 between the 14's services makes me want to jump right back on the 14 for its unmatched performance. Don't want any other bike.

HMMM, anybody know what "High-grade dash meter" means? Is this a fancy / technical way of saying same ol' dash display since 2012?

40th Anniversary Edition? That has to be a typo right? OH---Ninja anniversary! I'd look at the ZX-10 for that.

I was under the impression that all existing brand new and yet to be sold ZX-14Rs are black and gray. I can't remember what year those first came out but my understanding is that if you get a brand new ZX-14R out of the crate, it's going to be that black and gray. They made all they're going to make and what's left is overstock. When it's gone, it's gone for good. I have a mind to grab one of the last ones if I can.

That's what I've been hearing the last several years and that's why there's been no new colors. There's still 14Rs left over but they're not making new ones. There's no reason to make it better since the Hayabusa punked out and the H2 reins as speed king of the Japanese bikes. Of course nobody knows for sure but all I've been hearing is that they're just going to let it die. There was hope Kaw would move the 14R forward with the release of the Gen3 busa but the Gen3 busa ended up being slower than the Gen2. They will probably proceed with developing the H2 rather than compete with it within the same brand.

Changes are a coming....

Kawasaki is stating it will be all electric bikes by 2035 and
shooting for it's first Hydrogen powered bike by 2030 the Ninja H2 HySE

The old bikes are going the way of the Dodo bird.

I bought the 2022 because I thought said last year production. I wanted a new ZX14R after having the 2013 Concours 14.
