We have several inches of snow on the ground and more is supposed to fall today. Not only that, I thought it was Monday and I got up early. back to bed for me. Yesterday rode from Queenstown to Glenorchy, then back through the Crown Range to the Cardrona Hotel just below the ski resort and home again. Check it out on google maps.

Got yerself a cool lid to go with the new bike. I like, bean! Tear off posts! you animal!

Been planning to try a Nexx for my next lid. the latest is 3 lb, 3 oz and pure CF. Previous was fiberglass organic composite and it was just under 3 lbs! Fits a skinny head like I have.

Looking at the weight of my other lids, they're 3 lb, 13 oz to 3 lb, 9 oz. Can't say I notice a big dif in weight. What feels lightest to me is a good close fitting helmet. Too tight when you first put it on--perfect after much use---might hurt your head in one spot or another after a long ride but great for sport riding. LOL my last lid was a size small. Fit my 10 year old daughter and I love it for high speed.

Was Fathers day here yesterday so six beers and 5 hrs later I finished polishing my new toy! got to say for a ten year old machine she came up very well IMO Rook

I have no doubt some older bikes are just as good or better in many areas than the new. You don't NEED a brand new bike, you just want it. Kruz is buying bikes left and right and there is no real standalone among his fleet which spans 2006 to 2016 models. They're all good but sometimes weaker in areas where the predecessor was better.

Bean - I won't give you a hard time about pro Honda comments. I've stated before and will again that I've always been a Honda fan ... love the fit and finish ... and would have a Honda right now if they made anything like a ZX14.
