07 Stock Header Question
04/03/11 10:44 AM

I am looking to buy a 2007 ZX-14 that has dual Two Brothers Pipes attached to the stock 2007 Header.

Question: Does the stock 2007 header have a Catalytic Converter inside the header assembly, or did that begin with the 2008 ZX-14 Bikes from the factory?

I am hoping the stock 2007 Header is free of obstructions to provide as much power as possible to the two Brothers exhausts.

If not, what would a Custom made header pipe cost that could be a used unit to hook up to the Two Brothers pipes?

I am a C-14 Driver now wanting to have a ZX-14 along with my Connie....just love that ZX-14 motor, but want to get maximum power out of it..

Thanks,

Ninjawarrior

2007 does not have a catalytic converter in the header assembly. It's only from 2008 on.

Just get rid of all the exhaust. I put a complete M-10 Muzzy system. BIG DIFFERENCE

Second that too.

Ninjawarrrior, I wouldn't dream of spending $$on a custom fabbed header that was built after the stock piece. I mean it is great for a stock header but if you got the bread sittin waitng, just spend it on a full system. A big power improvement and just as important a lot lighter. The stock header is way more heavy than my aftermarket headpipes. IDK how much you are researching high performance exhausts but Brock's CT dual or single is going give the best power. Akrapovic Evolution is also a very well regarded system.
to the forum.

Very true on the weight. My whole system weighs about as much as one of the cannons it came with
