UClear helmet headset

Just picked up this headset from CycleGear for $150:
http://www.cyclegear.com/eng/product/HBC100_Moto_Bluetooth_Communicator/web1010959

Installed it today and it works great. Very easy installation in my helmet, and it sounds very good. It has an automatic volume control, blue tooth connectivity to your smart phone (really cool with Siri), great battery life and best of all no boom mic!

People I've called say they can hear me very clearly and can't hear the bike or wind noise at all. As one guy put it - it sounds like I'm talking on speaker phone in a quiet room.

Probably not the best headset out there, but for $150, I think it's a pretty great item.

This sounds exactly like what I've been looking for! How does it sound listening to music? Is it loud enough?

Yeah plenty loud. But the speakers don't have much in the way of bass drivers, so don't think you're getting a Bose headset. The auto-volume thing is great - it gets louder as the outside noise gets louder and vice verse. Granted, it would be better if it were noise cancelling, because I'm a little concerned about adding MORE noise to my helmet at highway speeds.

But I can listen to music and have a conversation and hear and be heard well at 90+ mph, which is pretty damn cool.

Thanks for the post ! I may get one for when I want to wear something other than my C3, which always has the SRC system built-in which is bluetooth, scala, FM, and wired.

Sometimes when I'm on long trips, like at COG Nationals, or the big Spring and Fall rally events, I take a half-helmet with me for trips to the store and laundry and such. No need to put that complicated Schuberth on to go 1 mile.

Of course, you know what they say, most accidents happen within 1 mile of your house.......

This would be great, I can still listen to music and such.
