2017 ZX 10 RR
10/29/17 1:17 PM

Got this new in April 2017
I have never even rode a litre bike before this.
MODS:
Full Akropic exhaust
ECU FLASH
Graves Adjustable rearsets
15 Tooth sprocket front, 39 rear

Should have gone for the ECU flash right off. Cause after awhile, i noticed how the on/off throttle transition wasnt SMOOTH
Also, the QuickShift was inadequate before i changed the front sprocket

OEM:
OHLINS STEER DAMPER
SHOWA FRONT SUSP
Kawi Quick Shift
Auto blip down shift
Marchenisi Wheels
Front Brembo Calipers, Discs

you scored big time, awesome modds to boot as well, and some nice pics.

wondering what snow capped mountains are those in the backround ? .

the bike looks awesome, and i bet it sounds even better, good on you.

Awesome! I herd the flash does wonders for the low and midrange.

Nice stretch of road there. Hope it's not watched too closely.

I have 2 bikes
06 ZX 14
2017 ZX 10 RR
Yes flash does wonders for the on-off throttle transitions,
Doing exhaust then flash was noticeable mods
But, when i dropped 2 teeth from the front sprocket,, it turned into a Rocket. It has a positive throttle response no matter how little you turn the throtle... That also improved the Quickshifter problems..
I dont ride this road often, a few weeks ago it had 50 mph wind gusts.
Usually only one trooper per trip i see.
One of the few roads i will try to open it up,, But usually too windy..

The ZX14 IS going to get the flies out this winter

I used a #2 x 8" phillips with a grit coated tip. I heated it up cherry red and set it in the slots about 1 minute. The screws were not hard to remove but be extremely careful you do not drop one. Use a magnet tool so they stick to the screwdriver and it would be worth it to slide some tin foil under each one just incase a screw might drop. Flies out will make a big change in your 06 ZX-14. I'd consider a flash or PC5 map for flies out too.

I will def search for the screwdriver mentioned. I have seen a very good pictorial of the flies being removed.. I also have a PC-V Installed and DynoJet has downloadable maps available for my ride

I'm sure the DJ maps are safe but I always hear they are not the best. I used one and thought it was fine but that was a long time ago.

If the flash addressed flies tuning, you don't need to take them out. There should be a LOT more power below 6000 rpm on an 06.

Yes, flashed addressed flies and mapping.
That was a specific question i asked. I mentioned i was gonna do the fly mod, and they said i didnt need to. They would map accordingly.
I only needed to reset/ calibrate the throttle position sensor through the PC-V.
Just revving the motor, It sounds different than before.
