SF Bay Area meet
08/06/15 8:41 AM

Hi all. I want to try to put together a meet/ride for the members from the SF Bay Area and surrounding areas.
I have a regular loop that starts from the famous Alice's Restaurant and goes for around 130 miles through the Santa Cruz mountains. It includes some lesser know roads that are a blast. So, if you are interested, let me know and state what dates would work for you. I'm thinking late September/ early October. For those of you in the central valley ( Mrwoo, Blkcasper), my home is open for staying over the night before/ after the ride as well.
So, post up and let's see if we can get something going.

Oops! Sorry Chrly, I haven't check this thread in awhile. I'm open just about any Saturday and most Sundays this winter. Problem is it keeps raining on Sunday lately. I do have a wedding I have to attend this Saturday though. (However, it's off HWY 1. So I may just ride there!!!)
I Believe you said you live up a ways away, keep in mind you are welcome to sleep at my place if you need a place to "crash".
The bags in the picture were just generic throw overs. In fact, on that trip they cracked my rear fairing at the mounts which later fell off. Now I use a set of Blaze saddlebags I got from Twisted Throttle. They use a support bar that keeps the weight of the bags off the bodywork. Took those to Crater Lake without any problems.

I'm still here. Working all but X-mas day but weekends are free. Note: I do melt in any rain...

Not too fond of the rain myself :)
Have you ever been interested in drag racing?
Jan 3rd is first race of the year at Sonoma Raceway . Not too far from you :) If the weather is good, I will be there..

Hmmm... interesting. I used to road race at Sonoma. Havent gone there for drag racing. I'll keep it in mind. If the weather is good maybe the missus and I will come up and introduce ourselves. I assume the pits are open to spectators?

Pits are wide open...Pretty easy to recognize the green ZX :) . I raced Sonoma in 1976 with the AFM. Not very well but a ton of fun. Iwas on an H2 so that shud explain things LOL
