Does anyone know where I can get a grill to protect my radiator like a mesh grill or something I don't want to rig something up myself it might come off and puncture my radiator.

I have the Cox Racing radiator guard. They normally run upwards of $90, but I caught a deal on mine for $70.

No. You can hardly see it up inside the fairing unless you're down on one knee and looking past the fork legs. It's just a simple black square of mesh with an edge border and attachments in the proper places. It's curved and fits right up against the rad. Not much to look at.

BTW: I'd avoid the Warp Speed guards. The mesh used is very tight and restricts breathing too much IMO.

I got the power bronze gaurd. But you can just as easily fab up one with mesh screen from your local hardware store. Stuff used on screen doors or gutter drains. Did it on my other bikes and works well, Also used it to cover grill openings on fairings,

Thanks guys for all the info I know I have to get something fast cause the dang county is putting gravel and shit on the highways with that oil instead of fixing the damn road like they need to. That and all theses dang grasshoppers might just mess a radiator up going 90mph or more!! Pics look awesome to

I'm pretty sure that's what killed my rad. I'd just ridden a section of road a few miles back which had been tar sprayed and re-gravelled. What's more, I was on my way to the NW200 in Northern Ireland, catching the Ferry at Cairnryan. The rad was beyond repair, the road side recovery guys couldn't source a new replacement locally and had to take me the 300 miles back home. So, no NW200, no ferry ticket refund (£100) and £600 for a new rad. Not the best weekend's biking I've ever had!

I was going to get the Cox Rad guard just because its a bit more slim linebut Maldin Imports doesnt answer the phone or return emails and they seem to no longer advertise Cox on their crap website so I rang Rad Guard and got awesome service and posted same day.
Some locals are crap and some are still awesome, big thumbs up to Rad Guard.
Good people and good service....... and Cindy sounds hot

My Cox finally arrived (that's what she said), I had to switch to the black Cox because the green was going to take a few more weeks. Question for all you Cox lovers, what did you need to take off in order to get decent access (body work I mean).
I can't see where to thread the upper tie-wraps looking down from above, at this point it looks like I'll need to have the whole front undone to get good access, unless someone has a bright idea.

Ordered my Rad Guard on Wednesday, got it Friday.
Got 20% discount and came with a magazine, a bunch of stickers and a stubby holder!
Awesome service, very impressed with their service and fits perfectly.
As far as fitting goes, I removed the sides and bottom fairings, the top pieces of dash over the ducts, the horn and the stone guard under the lower triple clamp.

So, I have the Cox guard mounted nicely, but the plastic shroud that goes against the horn (stone guard?) wants to rub against it, so it looks like I need to trim it back. Anyone else do this? Before I start cutting, I want to be sure that this is necessary. If it does need trimming, what is the neatest way to do it? Overthinking and obsessive about my baby.
Yes I did take off everything up to the upper side fairing, and it was worth it because it was very easy to get to then.
Get naked!

I don't understand how the guards that hang from a bracket on top and claim to be easily installed in a few minutes without removing any fairings work, that rock shroud would cause problems with even a pretty low profile guard, and you ought to have the a bit of a gap from the core so the radiator guard does not damage the radiator with vibrations. I recall with the ZRX occasionally a radiator would get worn through because even the rubber spacer would be too much. The Cox design with the foam in place as intended looks safe, and I don't see getting a confident fit without taking the side fairings off, things maybe rubbing and such.
If you read the detailed info on the Cox website it explains the purpose of the foam spacers, providing shock absorption. I would suggest using them instead of pitching them, which I saw on another thread.
