Howdy all.Lots of 14 owners are using Mobil 1.Can anyone tell me any particular "whys".I mean...just cause someone recommended it?Or are there concrete things about it that can be shown in the real world.

blue just sent out a sample of mobil1 to blackstone ill post the results when i get them. Ive never had a problem with it but this time i used kawi synthetic

Blue I started using mobile1 some time ago when I had seen an oil test. They tested automobile oils against motorcycle specific oils. Out of all the oils tested mobile1 was the only oil to retain over 90% (98%) of it's original weight after high heat testing. Mobile1 was also more shear resistant.
What I personally have found out is that 1. I don't have to add oil in between changes and 2. At 3000 miles the oil looks the same coming out as going in.
Currently I'm giving shell rotella synthetic and am pretty pleased.

after 2100mi mobil 1 started losing viscosity
