Always wanted one of these so I picked one up this afternoon, Honda Repsol CBR1000RR SP.
Comes with the Ohlins TTX rear shock and Ohlins NIX Forks with Brembo M4 brakes as standard.

Will do Grn, it's a bit cold down here in Texas at the moment but will start breaking it in and do a thorough review ride and get some better pics once it warms up, hopefully over the weekend.
I still have a base model '12 CBR1000RR, will be interested in seeing how the premium components from Brembo and Ohlins change the nature of the ride.

I think my taste in sportbikes is beginning to change, the last ZX-10R I bought is brutal, I've found I don't really need 200 HP to have fun, just give me a sweet handling bike like this SP and I'll be fine.

I'm not planning on a lot of mods on this one, a fender eliminator and maybe a smoke windshield and just leave it alone and enjoy the ride.

Hello Knovikov, I'm not sure I could handle sliding around corners on a Supermoto, if I was 25 I might go for it but it's getting harder to teach this old dog new tricks....lol!

The dealer delivered it to my house two days ago, been too cold and windy to ride but now it's sunny and 55 F so I took it out and shot some pics. Have not taken it out on the road yet. I'll post a pic of the old '12 CBR also, lots of changes between these two.

Here's the '12, looks rather a Plain Jane parked next to the new Respol version.

Well Extrapolator, the paint scheme does come down to personal taste but check out the suspension components, brakes, tires, etc. on the Repsol SP. All the good stuff, Ohlins TTX36 shock and NIX30 forks with Brembo M4 Monobloc brake calipers and Pirelli Super Corsa SP tires. Handlebars are lowered, wider and more forward with the rear pegs moved back 10mmm, much racier feel than the '12 model. There's a myriad of other changes on the SP that set it apart from the base model 1000RR, motor is blueprinted and balanced, they hand port and polish the heads, etc. Even little things like changing the steering tube from aluminum to steel because the development team thought it improved front end feel in the corners. Way too much to list here but I have no idea how much difference it will all make when I get it loaded up in a corner, we'll soon see.

The Repsol is a 2015. The back story is this is a machine that has been on my radar screen for a long time but the MSRP of $17,299 was a bit rich for my blood.
The '15 and two '16s popped up at Texas dealers recently, $3300 discount off the '15 and $2400 on the '16s. The '15 was 40 miles away and the dealer agreed to deliver to my home as part of the deal. The '16s were a two and four hour drive away respectively, so that complicated the deal on those.
Anyway, I got a drive out price of $15,074.44 on the '15 after a bit of negotiating and the rest is history.
Not exactly cheap but the bike has all of the equipment I need and way less expensive than the '17 SP which stickers at over $20,000, so I'm pleased with the purchase.
It's warming up here in Dallas so I should be able to get a nice ride in later today and see how she performs.

Just got back in from my first ride on the new Repsol SP and all I can say is WOW! I did 37 miles of my favorite twisties and I have never ridden a machine that is so incredibly dialed in right out of the box.
Honda supposedly spent four years getting all the details right on this bike and it shows. Everything is silky smooth and ultra refined, the Ohlins suspension was set up just right, I'm not going to touch them!
The M4 Monoblocs feel superior to the M50 Monoblocs on my '16 ZX-10R KRT, just so incredibly smooth and progressive with mammoth stopping power. I can't believe these are the same brakes as my 959, no comparison in feel.
Even though I'm still breaking the engine in, it felt smoother, torquier and more responsive than my '12 CBR1000RR. The Super Corsa SPs were amazing, I felt instantly at home on this bike after hitting the first few corners.
By comparison it took me about 3000 miles to fully trust the 959 when pushing the envelope. I'll have to say after owning many, many sportbikes over the years, the SP is the finest I've ever ridden....period
Honda, you guys got it right on this bike...thank you!

I commend you, sir, for your accomplishments. You are a level 8, No-Maam.org, honorary member. I am only level 3 if you include my bicycle. Forgive me for my presumption, but there is no women out there who will share her man with 8 motorcycles.

You got it! ...and not too many worth parting with one, I might add. Not at this stage of the game.
Glad you're happy with your new bike, Kruz. Looks like you made a good pick.
