Powerbronze Hugger for a Gen 2.
03/10/15 8:01 AM

I was sure i saw a post here on modifying the rear brake/ABS line guides on a Gen 2 so a Powerbronze Hugger could be fitted.
Does anyone recall or know of this post because I want to install this hugger on my new 14R?
I have looked everywhere here with the search function with no luck...
Thanks.

How does it look on there?Fitment wise?I had a Bestem CF hugger on mine(same shape and all).Fit was very good.Removed the rear line wire loop deal.Yes...and installed the small bracket of the hugger(came with it)into that tab(hole)(on the right side swingarm)with a screw supplied.I did have to slightly bend the metal bracket piece(supplied)to get the correct centering of the hugger over the tire.

I can't find the photos, but the power bronze you need to take off the brake line bracket that is closer
to the front of the swingarm (or modify it) and they give you a bracket that pushes into the hugger that
holds your brake line in, getting off the OEM bracket was a PIA, you have to bend it etc ...

But it fits well, and looks good. I will try and find the photos ...

Here is a youtube video if you want to modify the OEM bracket :

This hugger has no mesh in it.Comes with small bracket for the right side mounting.

After my poor experience with Powerbronze windshield fitment(I couldn't use it..didn't fit right)(like those Lockhart/Phillips screens)(they must have exchanged templates or something;)I shied away from Powerbronze.
