Curious of input for a deal I'm looking aT.friend of mind trading in his 09 for leftover 2015 model.He is looking to deal with me on me buying his ECU which was CBlast flashed for his full yosi system and K&N filter.no other mods.My 010 model just has 2 BroSlips & K&N filter. So he wants my stock ECU & little xtra$ for the swap. I'm not totally comfortable with doing this deal without keeping my stock ECU.His flashed unit has been great for him and made him happy.But I keep thinking of everything from match up to my bike to even just running richer. While I do have access to a PC3 USB I have yet to ever install as it is a older unit and I'm also unexperienced setting it up.Curious if anyone has any input or suggestions as I dwell over this deal.I will be buying a full shim kit,plugs and a vc gasket as he felt he would be doing a valve adjust but now will not. Open to any input you guys may have as I think this over.Thanks,DeWayne

You are considering swapping your used unflashed ECU for a used flashed one. I would consider yours to be more valuable. A flash is $300. A used ECU is probably about the same on Ebay but are you sure it is unflashed? I'd just buy a used ECU and have it flashed. Then you know you have a good one for backup. 'sup to you on that.

The PC3 won't do you any good unless you want to invest in the other electronics to fine tune the flash. The AutoTune unit will probably have to be one that is compatible with the PC3. Call DJ to make sure.

You could skip the flash all together and get an ignition module for PC3. Along with that, get Autotune for PC3. All you need now is an AFR gauge. I suggest the POD300 if it works with PC3 but you might find one cheaper. SO--$300-$600 bucks and you have everything a flash is going to do for the Gen1 with unlimited ability to fine tune and you never touched your pristine ECU. Hope you have a safe place to self tune.
