Annual Spring ride to NorCal
05/25/16 8:55 PM

Every year my buddy and I start our Sport-touring season by going on a long trip to NorCal to visit some favorite roads and maybe even find some new ones.

We are never disappointed, except for when it rains when we are on the twisty roads

Here a few pics from this years trip, which we just got back from.

I found Bigfoot!

We did this one twice

Secret squirrel road in the middle of nowhere. Most of the road was like a racetrack

Picture on Hwy 1, on the way home yesterday.

Amazing trip, I am glad we have done this for a number of years now.

Love it!
I have been doing an annual NorCal trip (From San Diego) in the fall for the last 3 years, hope to be up there again in late September! Great roads up there!

Wow.. So much for mileage..!! "The new sport-touring tire is claimed to offer up to 30 percent greater mileage," Are you doing rolling burnouts from every stop ??? :)

Nope, no burnouts - I just like to accelerate hard out of the corners. Rarely exceeded the ton even, it's ALL about the corners for me.

At one point, my buddy was behind me (briefly) and witnessed me leave a 40 foot blackie out of a corner. Didn't know I was doing that, it does explain the short tire life.

I have also killed a set of the GT's on my Blackbird, with similar mileage.

So I think it's just me

It shocked me the first time someone told me that I was spinning up the rear existing turns on the track. ( this was on my ZRX1200 ( turbo) And yeah it IS fun !!
Now I know where your rubber went :)

Oops my bad. I don't care who it is, I still want to go. After I get my property set up in Cottonwood I plan to have a couple of guest cabins for those of you who want to have a place to base out of to ride 3, 36, 299 etc. Can't wait.

299 sucks in my opinion, way too much traffic and 5-0.

I ride it when I have to, but it's usually to get to a much funner road.

I know a few of that type in the area, hit me up via PM for info.
