Couple of questions if you don't mind DJ,
How is it holding up on the tank?
Are you using he magnets or the straps? (can't tell by the pic)
From the ebay link, the top part seems to be some sort of plastic, can you remove that to have it painted to match the bike?

Nice, REAL nice...
Is it weatherproof as is or you need to put some kind of bag over it?

Dude... Why you do that?... I have like 6 or 7, but now think I might need another.

Any pics of it on your bike?... That's always the tough part... finding one that fits well on the 14.

That's the only bad thing I can say about the bag... It's a separate clear shower cap like cover. It's not cumbersome but it'll have to stay in the bag. One more thing is that I'm not sure a map would be readable with that cover on! Then again, it only rains 18 days out of the year in Austin!
I have an Ogio tail bag with an attached rain cover that is kept in its own discreet compartment. However, that cover doesn't stay put under hard acceleration and wind. I'm not sure it's 100%. The Givi shower cap will definitely do its job!

Do you know how many things I bought just from looking at pics of your bike...Consider it payback lol

I couldn't pick her up last friday! So I have to wait until Thursday... She's still at the "suspensions shop".

That Givi tank bag is VEERRRRY tasty. I have been looking for just the right bag for BWII. My old Eclipse magnetic completely overwhelms the tank, so I bought a Rapid Transit Recon 11 and it looks like a boil on a monkey's ass. Just copped an EXL magnetic off Fleabay for cheap and I still have my older-yet Eclipse strap-on bag. I may have to have a tank bag bonanza blow-out sale.

Or you could buy RKA, spray it with the permanent treatment, and then leave the included heavy nylon rain cover (which fits perfectly) off in all but a torrential storm.

The cover to my RKA tank bag is still in the top comparment, folded up. I've been through a couple heavy downpours and thunderstorms, and the inside never got even damp.

They use straps (two in front, one from underneath the seat) and will never scratch the paint. My tank is still Midnight Metallic Sapphire Black and that shows scratches from bugs crawling over it. But not from the tank bag.

How about a pic? I'm open to anything, even though I just bought a bag. Do they make one without the white piping? It reminds me of those '80's designer jeans with the white stitching.

Hmm I put the link somewhere here, let me put it here to. You can get the piping any color you want, and you can get the main color anything you want. You can mix and match anyway you want. Kathy is a really good industrial seamtress!

Here is the RKA ZX14 page, with links to what fits the ZX14 and example photos. That ZX14 is mine before I got the Givi side- and top-case. Its pretty much the same as I did my ZX11 when I sport toured western Europe from Assan Holland on the north coast to Nice France on the south coast, with side trips to Germany, Italy, and Spain.

RKA ZX14 Nylon Luggage

If you get any, make sure you get the waterproofing spray. This stuff is nasty, you spray it on OUTSIDE and let it dry for 24 hours. Once its dry, you never have to treat again, its permanent. When I do mine, I wear a respirator and goggles, but if it isn't windy, you should be ok. LOL.

Speedjunky The bag works as a back pack and a tank bag. It uses magnets and has a detectable strap in front of the bag as well. When you detect the bag there is a strap inside that attaches to make it a backpac. The top is Head and can be painted.
