I have a Chinese-made one from an Ebay seller that goes by the name "M-Factory" It is billet polished aluminum and works as advertised. Paid around $40 shipped. I'll NEVER go back to a stupid locking gas cap.

Fits great. There is a rubber doughnut that seals the base to the tank's fuel neck and an O-ring around the cap itself, so no mess or fumes. the vent is very simple and would be easy to clear in the event of a clog. Just took the locking cap apart because someone on another site was wondering about changing a lock cylinder. Little fuking parts and springs flew everywhere. Got it back together, but damn, such a complex assembly just to be able to secure your fuel. The billet cap has a fine thread machined onto it where it screws onto the base. Very precise feel.

I paid like 300 for my LightTech 1/4 turn fuel cap. I see they have M-Factory knockoffs for about $40 on Ebay. I own a few parts on the 14 by M-factory (if you check my mod list below). I'm very satisfied with the quality and the fit but the rod on the rear axle slider by M-factory was too long. Easy to fix. I didn't even bother to call them about it.

If you go cheap on aftermarket parts, DO get recommendations on the exact product you are interested in. The knockoffs sometimes require a little massaging to get them to fit right.

Most of my riding is trips with overnight stays, so not having a locking gas cap is not an option.

My 2011 Taurus work car and my 2010 F-150 don't even have gas caps, you just open the door and stick the nozzle in the hole. Never had a fuel theft in my life. If someone wants to fuck with the bike while it's parked overnight at a motel (like it will be next weekend) there are lots of other things they could do if their little packets of sugar can't be poured in the tank. Besides, most knuckleheads would assume it's got a locking cap in the first place, so they probably wouldn't even show up with sugar. If anyone wants a ZX-14 locking gas cap with it's own key, let me know. I've got one I'll let go for cheap.

I've had a Roaring Toyz cap for awhile now. 1/8 turn. I like the style though at first I was looking for something all black. Original Vortex was my initial choice but it appears to have venting issues and can be clumsy to remove and put back on. New Vortex was too mechanical looking for me but had improved venting.
I didn't like the look of the stock cap and it got in the way when filling. I've only filled the tank about 4 times so far with the new Roaring Toyz cap and it's easy to remove/replace. Owning an older bike I'm used to removing and placing a gas cap on top of the pump so that's not an issue for me. I still have some trouble watching the fuel level as I fill up 'cuz the lower opening seems small. I find myself being careful how much I insert the nozzle 'cuz it's very close to the same diameter as the caps lower opening and it feels like it could get stuck for a moment or nick up the sides if you're too rough with it (might just be me?). I have the California model so I have to be careful how high I fill up. Too high and the bike idles rough and the MPG drops a little until you remove the seat and blow fuel out of the one hose, I forget...red or blue?). Paying so much attention to the level is the issue here. More a problem of the bike than the gas cap.
The RT cap looks quality made. Hopefully it lasts a long time. No leaking and venting is simple but works fine as far as I can tell. I've never had a problem with someone messing with my cap so I didn't mind losing the locking feature. I have the stock cap wrapped up in case.
I wanted black bolts but couldn't find any anodized bolts to fit so I ended up painting mine. I know they would probably get damaged if I spilled some fuel but I'm careful of things like that so I should be OK. I didn't like the numbers stamped into the heads of the flush fit bolts RT supplied so I sanded the numbers out. The bolts don't tighten down quite as flush with the base as I'd like but it's not a big deal.
BE SURE to use a good fitting tool when cracking loose the factory bolts. Mine were really torqued down for as small as they were and a loose fitting tool could get you in trouble. Here's mine. I'm happy with it.
