Alpine Stars pants/AGV Sport jacket. Leather . They work great together but the zips are not the same. I heard Alpine Stars is more for thin build people. I took an honest measurement of my waist at the hips and around the gut--not tight just contact all around and ordered based on that. They fit me great. I'm not skinny but I guess I'm not exactly pudgy either. Don't go too tight on the jacket ether. Leather is tough and restricts movement even if it fits loose--which I don't recommend either. You need the length in the waist and arms while leaned forward and reaching. If it feels like the panels are stretching under the normal riding position, that's probably going to be too tight, imo. A little bit of wiggle room in the shoulders is bettter than tight.

The zips can be sewn in to match. Not all brands use the same size zippers but you should be able to come up with a spare from one of the two from a good supplier.

I found Revzilla to be very knowledgeable and helpful in ordering the right size. Order two and send the one you like less back. Worth the cost.

Sweet jacket Kof.I'd most likely go with Alpinstars pants...surely they have a matching set with the waist zipper that matches?I went with Dianese...pants and jacket. Also the boots.Couldn't be happier with em.

I've had REAL bad experiences with Alpinstar boots. Now granted, I'm not buying the top line product but I use the midrange stuff meant for racing and track days. In EVERY case the A star boots fell apart. Soles delaminated, plastic uppers came loose. My Cycle Gear Bilt boots are better in every way. My SIDI boots are exponentially better.

I have Alpine Stars SMX boots and no problems. I do not use them often but probably have ridden a total of 70 hours with them. I don't walk in them any farther than I need to but they are comfy enough that I could. They're a dickens to get zipped because of the stretch panel and curved surface I need to zip over. That has improved but damn,I work up a sweat getting those zippers up. The soles still look almost new and I have very rough rearset foot pegs. I thought the soles would be worn out by now. My only complaint is the zipper. Also very fat ankles but I'm sure that's extra protection. About as good for shifting feel and flexibility as I could expect from a protective boot but far inferior to sneakers.

my Alpine Stars boots weak point seemed always to be with the gear shift reinforcement pad... next to fail would be the joint between the sole and the shoe body

Nice looking boots! They seem to have good ankle support without the insanely thick cankles I have on my Alpine Stars SMX boots.

I think you'll like the A** pants. those are the ones I have and I couldn't ask for anything better. Shin armor, knee armor, hip armor. I took out the hip armor but it was comfortable in the pants, just a little bulky.

I love my black and whites.

I’ve always bought Alpine stars stuff but their boots let me down a few weeks ago. I have the SMX plus vented and after coming back from a ride, I noticed the zipper had split. Not happy at all.

Haha! I could live with that if it were the case.
