WTB - KICKSTAND

I am looking for an adjustable, short, or used stock kickstand. Prefer an adjustable but will take anything in good shape. I need something for when I slam the bike for the track.

Stay away from T-Rex if they make those for the 14. Responsible for my double tip over of the busa last summer. Tiny foot that was not machined to a safe angle + round = foldback and kiss your fanny goodbye!

As you probably know, the typical clubby lookin aftermarket stands sold by a number of suppliers work the best. They all look the same. Got one on the 14 and it has been very reliable. or OEM.

Thanks for the info rook. I am not thrilled about how overpriced the adjustables are and am not that willing to rely on a cheap Chinese knock off to support my bike. Am hoping someone has one lying around or a shorty they want to sell. I think I may end up buying a stock stand off eBay and chop it down to suit my needs.

There's one on the facebook page, zx14 owners, for $80. It's the adjustable type I don't know if that's a good deal or not. I just sold my Stocker for $15 shipped to another board member.

That's where I got mine. About $80 if I recall. It did arive with scuffs and I returned it. They sent another scuffed one. I guess most people wouldn't bother about it but for $80, sheesh!

I've looked at these from a variety of suppliers. Just my feeling but I would almost bet they are all made in China. The various suppliers just slap their name on it and a price tag. I have not had an ounce of trouble with mine.

Shame to say it but T-rex is made right here in good ol' TX and the one I got for my busa is a piece of crap. I mean, well made, good materials looks beautiful but obviously they did not put a graet deal of testing into it. I'm keeping it but I am always nervous putting the bike on any stand. I NEVER park any bike anymore unless in gear and rolled till the gears stop, then put it down against the stand. No more park it and let the engine warm up. I sit on it while its running now.

I bought a stocker off e-bay, heated it with a torch, and bent it to fit. I dropped mine 2 3/4" in the rear and the altered stocker worked great.

I lowered the bike today. Ran out of time but tomorrow morning I'm gonna chop a couple inches off mine and buy a stock one off ebay so I have a full sized Kickstand when I put it back into street mode.
