Hidden Fuses ??
03/03/18 1:07 PM

I crossed some wires when removing my Battery and now I have no Power to anything. I have checked all the Fuses that I can see, under the seat and on the Solenoid and I cant find a broken fuse. Does anyone have any ideas? I am hoping that it is something simple before I have to send it to the shop.

The Gen1 has two fuse boxes under the seat and a main fuse at the back of the battery box.

Unless there is an inline fuse someone installed for an aftermarket electronic item but I don't know what would cut power to the whole bike. A PC5 is powered off of the main wiring harness.

Did you check the battery with a test light?

Take the seat off. Look for a gaggle of black/yellow [tracer] wires from the main harness. These all tie as one ground for all the ground wires used inside the main harness. Now take a jumper cable and/or heavy wire with alligator clips at each end, place one on the bolt or the crush clamp where all the wire ends squeeze into it, the other to the battery ground cable. Turn key on. Do you have power now?

If yes, then we'll make a remote ground from group clamp to battery neg cable securing [frame] bolt.
