Hi im in need of 2 fork stanchions tubes for a ZX14 2006.
I wonder if a set of ZX10 tubes will fit in there?I seen they have the same partnummber in some schematics but

Never heard of anyone trying that but if the part number is the same, I would almost bet it would work. The internals have to be different but the tube itself is just a tube. Could be different fork bottoms perhaps? I thought that was a part of the fork tube.

The part nr differs some here but dont know if its the fender/brake bottom that the only diffrence

I have a pair of zx10 legs avalible to replace the bad ones on my zx14,thats why im asking

I see, the fork bottom is a part of the inner pipe. The part number on the fisch for that is also the same except for the A/B/C designation.

If you look at the part numbers on the list to the right, they are not the same between the ZX-10 and the ZX-14.

Outer fork tube for 10 is

44008-0017

Outer fork tube for 14 is

44008-0020

I think that is the supplier's part number, not the OEM part number but something about them must be different. Could be just the color of the finish.

I'd measure with a calipers at several places and compare. The inside is also important but you won't know if the internals transfer unless you try. Lots of work not being sure what the outcome will be.

Im restoring a zx14
The zx14 innertubes have rust gone through the chrome so need new ones.Was looking for a quick/cheap fix but i guess its better to get some zx14 legs instead of the zx10
