Rook, I redneck laminate my stuff with packing tape. Cheap and easy and prevents that sort of thing.

Good idea but had I done that<he would have had to find some other reason to not give me a speeding ticket and thise would have probably been more than $10. So in this case, having no valid proof of insurance was a good thing.

LOL Rook getting in/out of a ticket wasn't really my point, just a general tip. Maybe they're tougher in Indiana on no proof... I have known people who've had to go to court for failure to prove (at which point they must show they had insurance when the ticket was issued or face fines and such).

$10 isn't bad but frankly it's difficult to fathom not having (valid) proof of insurance is the reason got you out of a speeding ticket. My guess is the officer cut you a break because you acted politely or some other reason. Or to say, I think you would've walked away without any ticket if you ended up with no speeding ticket.

Historically I've known LEOs to hand out multiple tickets than multiple breaks. For example, I had a buddy who got a speeding ticket and a fine for having a cracked windshield. Or speeding and seatbelt.

Either way, ruined insurance card, lucky day, whatever glad you got out for $10!

Yeah, I think he just wanted to leave an impression so he gave me a small ticket. I was pretty happy toget the $10 ticket.

Some people want to play judge jury and executioner.

Hmmmm crazy supersport riders vs. William Crums of the world?

I'd take my chances with the crazy supersport riders any day.

The whole video is good but click to 5:55 for the real insanity. How someone is not dead, I'll never know. People who dare to drive this road must know just to stay put.

Yes, and just slightly more sane is this guy. He's making quite a splash (just a figure of speech) on Youtube if he's still alive. Fox News even featured him. Overall, I don't think this guy's skills are anything more than proficient. He would get eaten up on a track with expert riders. What he has is balls when it comes to racing oncoming traffic. Hopefully he will total the bike in a corner before he and maybe some poor oncoming Sunday drivers are killed.

Like the high end sound and graphics in the opening of his vids but apparently he does his own editing. Hope he lives long enough to get tired of that slowmo tool.

The difference is vodka. I could only watch a minute or so of the maxwrist video. The silly editing too annoying. He should stick to riding somewhat crazy and leave the editing to someone else.

Now that is the way I wanna crash! ... land right on a friggin' mattress!!

OK it probably still hurt, but surely can't be as bad.

Hmm, it was a mattress, wasn't it ... and a box spring?!

the Turkish youtubers say NO but amazingly the camera did.

If you go through the crash one frame at a time, you see two guys come up behind a white car in the far right lane. The one in the lead goes to the shoulder to overtake the car. The other guy was planning to lane split to the left of the car. The car probably pulled to the left in response to the first bike flying by on the shoulder. nyway, the second guy didn't quite make it and he takes out the guy with the camera.

Shit man!

Every time I see shit like this I consider myself lucky, and think those poor guys were in their first and last crash. I've been down 3 times, and the fastest was about 35 when a WV van T-bonen me in the traffic circle of death in Long Beach and launched me about 20 ft. That was in college and I played sports and worked out like a madman and because of my fitness I bounced right up, cracked helmet and all. The slowest crash I got hurt the worst and if I had any kind of boot on instead of running shoes it would not have been that bad.

I just feel bad that those guys were so reckless on public roads and paid the price for it ...terrible

Yeah, there is something especially tragic about people getting killed in accidents during recreational activities.

I'm pretty liberal when it comes to what is allowable on the street but I have to agree with you in situations where you come close to other vehicles.
