Nice runs! So consistent, less than 1% difference and the AFR is so stable and right on.

What a great machine you have there Charles

Did you ever dyno it stock? Just wonder how much change was from the aftermarket exhaust and reflash. I have a 13 zx14r and haven't done anything to it YET.

Here is my stock dyno run.. Please remember that this run was done in August 2015 here in California and the latest run above was done just a couple days ago ( on same dynometer, same operator, same fuel. The cooler air on the latest run helped, I am sure. My best educated guess is 5% overall increase becuase of change in equipment and bike totally broke in now.

This was shortly after the above test. I ran both the Brocks Alien SS system and Yosh R-77 SS system currently on the bike . The Alien was about 1 1/2 hp more than the Yosh but the Yosh was much quieter and I have never enjoyed loud pipes

I did NOT run hte Brocks tune with the Alien and his thing is that it is tuned for actual running and not for the Dyno..I agree that the ram air affect has to make some differenance some where..

Bottom line for me ...I chose the Yosh for lightness and quietness. I just could not see the HP improvement was enough of a benefit..I recently made my own capped megaphone cause it had been a long time since I ran a loud pipe and often at the track, I have a tuff time hearing my bike at the lite . Lemme tell you that sucker was loud! so I gave it to a friend and put the Yosh back on :)..
If I were to start out fresh again, I would go with the quietest megaphones and leave teh stock header on I do like the look of the twin pipes and the major weight differenace comes from teh stock mufflers.

Here is my lil noise maker..

WOW--you made that, chrly? NICE! It would be interesting to know how does on the dyno. Did you notice any change in your times when you ran it?

Rook I took a standard megaphone and made changes so it would fit the 14 I did NOT make it..sorry if I mislead you..:)
As for performance, I could not stand it.. just waaay too noisey , even with teh baffle in... I shudda known but I had the meg laying on a shelf and decided to see if I could make it work..It is going on a ZRX1200 in Oregon..His hearing is worse than mine and said it most likely wont bother him LOL.We shall see.( My last name is BLUNT ;) ) I have four of these running around the west coast somewhere..First one was on my 636 that wound up in San Jose area. That was ten or so yrs ago..
aAs for performance' I only made four passes with it and I am still so inconsistent ( compared to the gofast guys) that I could not really tell any difference over the Yosh .

Thanks Charlie, the stock torque curve is helpful. It starts making torque in the mid 3s, what I feel seat of the pants also. Peak torque is 7,600 or so. So revving it to an rpm where the shift drops it to around there should give me max or close peak acceleration, especially in the lower gears, I would think. The dyno shows how nice and smooth the hp and torque curves are, no big dips or spikes. I think it is one of the best motors in motorcycling.

Wow! Impressed at several levels! One--over 200 HP and lots of torque. If anyone--anyone??--knows HD--they live on their torque and not HP. And this torque curve blows them all away except for stage II or above--could be wrong...
Second--the stock bike--wow! That bad boy has lots as is where is! Phew! The more I ride mine the more impressive it is--and at age 75--it's really really enuff! Thanks fellers!

RBRR.. I use to think about shift points as you pointed out..However , it seems by doing this, the runs are actually slower.. I guess it is the old HP vs TRQ question.. Anyway, I will be at 10750 ( with limiter raised 500rpm). I shud say that I have been TRYING to shift at that point. I always get antsy and shift way earlier.. We shall see on the 24th how things come together..I usually have a camera on my instruments so I can see exactly what I have done.

I was getting close last weekend but close doesnt work in Bracket racing :)

CHrly tose dyno charts look, great and smooth, The run you showed from sacramento looked great. what was your et/milage?
i live about an hour from sacramento raceway. i really need to find some time off to test my 2 - 2013 zx14rs there. hopefully sometime this summer, Ones stock wheel base, the other ones stretched. I have all the goodies installed on both. flashed ecu's, pc5 w/custom dyno tunes, full brocks, ect. Hopefully we can meet up sometime. I actually live in manteca, and do rides regularly up hwy 49 to lookout thru mariposa, valley springs, and west point, and surrounding areas. if you see any of the 3 bikes, be sure to stop and say hello. i used to also have the same candy green bike that yo have. cheers
