Am I the only person left on the planet that is sick to death of the media coverage of Michael Jackson? The dude was an entertainer for cryin out loud not royalty. Get over it, plant the guy and give us all a little peace and quiet. I'm sorry if I sound like a grouch but enough is enough, we're facing problems that could flush this whole country down the crapper and this is all we have to do with our time?

It's sad where the people of this country's heads are at! Its slowly becoming a nanny state, and if the working middle don't start getting involved, we will not recognize this country before the first term of the idiot is over. I am afraid its gonna take a civil up rising that's going to set some groups back a 100 yrs with the class envy wedge this bunch is deliberately stirring up. I follow social and market trends very closely and try to get a sense of the overall "Big Picture" and how it's going to effect us in the future and I'm seeing things right now that are down right frightening. Maybe this Michael Jackson mania is some type of national diversion from facing reality. There are forces at work right now that are going to change forever how we Americans live our lives. It's that simple. I'm praying America gets her wake up call and comes to her senses before it's too late. If you love this country it's time to be concerned about it's future!

Good points John! However, let's grasp what we are, and what defines us before we rally a cry of Save America etc. Save us from what is my immediate answer. When our people wake up and shake off the chains that are binding us; religion, state, entertainment, money, things; objects...possessions, status, fame, etc. and realize the bind we are in, there WILL be another American Revolution. However, I find it hard to phathom that this could happen when too many of our citizens are blind and happy with their 60 inch TVs, fast food, etc. It is a hard nut to crack. I think good ole fashioned constitutional form of governance, with no special interests paying off our politicians, no special status for a group of people or state (Israel), if we could get this back, then we will be better off. I strongly believe the USA was put here by God, yes, I said that...by God, however there are many calling out in His name, when they are fools and jack asses; i.e. John Hagee and his servitude to his master; Israel.

Yer absolutely 100% dead on there Donny, just like the Roman emperors and senate contrived, placate the masses with bread and circus' until it's too late and the barbarian hoards are already pounding their hairy knuckles on the gates.

I stick to my guns, Americans have been blessed with unprecedented luxury and wealth and we've looked the other way while our politicians have looted the national treasury. We are BROKE with a capital B now, the whole nation is going to go the way of California. I think it may already be too late, even if America woke up from it's slumber which seems virtually impossible after the witnessing the lunacy of the Michael Jackson spectacle.

Whats sad is these same dumbasses standing around his house and carrying on are the same folks that said "Yes we can." Watch what happens to the economy and stock market if the cap and trade bill gets passed. Sad thing is the "Yes we can" folks will be chugging the Kool-aide the entire way. I wonder how many people mourned the passing of a pop icon during the great depression?
