I've seen some bad write ups about clear alternatives and some where I had seen they went out of business and someone bought their stock.

I've not seen any negative information on Clear Alternatives. Their LED tail lights etc. get excellant ratings at Motorcycle Superstore and on Amazon.

I'm pretty sure I'm running a set of their LED turn signals without ever a problem.....

Well maybe it was another brand because I did some searching last night and can't find the bad write ups.

Yup, run the Clear Alternatives lens! I've had them on mine for about 4 years now. I've never had a problem with them and I have the smoked lens's.

+1 on the smoked euro lenses.... I have a set for the rear which will never get put on now.

I also have euro smoked front LED turn signals (complete, replace reflector/bulb in the signal assembly) which will never get put on now that I'm trading my ZX14 in.

But they are nice! :)

Givi even sells a version of their E55 top-case with smoked lenses, its looks really cool.

I was reading my manual and found out my C14 has LED brake light. Good thing the Back Off I purchased works with LED lights. Heh. I think I'll get that installed in May the way things are going. Its got to go in though and since I'm taking the body panels off this coming weekend to finish the Dispatch 1 electronic fuse box and Denali D2 LED driving light install, as well as start the Rostra electronic cruise control, I might was well do it with that, because all of those need to tap switched 12v and two of them (Back Off and Rostra) need brake light taps.

I dropped my GPS cradle arrangement off at my friend the machinist's shop last night. I've installed a "handy stick" on my left handlebar mount (you have to see the C14 handlebars to understand) and so the gps, XM antenna (both combined into a single mount unit), Dispatch 1 Remote Control, and my ProjekD coffee holder (sexy) will hang off the "handy stick". I'll post a picture when I get this stuff on, in Pictures, its going to quite compact and easy to use with my left (non-throttle) hand.

bean, thanks for the pics.
So in the daytime it looks like the tail light is on the dim side but the brake light is fairly bright.
What's your opinion at night? I'd really like to get the smoked lenses all around but concerned about how they compare to the stockers. I appreciate any more info.
