Used it today and it works excellent because once you reach your speed you can use your thumb to push the control to maintain your present speed and close the throttle without any problem.....grrreat

I would find it awkward to use my thumb to engage it, (maybe I have short thumbs? lol).

much easier to push it down to the brake lever with my index finger.

I broke my plastic one so I bought the aluminum one. I like it because it has the adjustable friction. The plastic one would gradually let the throttle close after a bit. Either way you can't beat them for the price.

Used mine this weekend for the first time when it was misting for hours and would not hold. Stopped misting and did not hold. Tried changing the brake lever position, band location and multiple attempts to lock in but did not work. It kept creeping down on the speed almost immediately so I am going to try to return it. Just my experience with it.

also, did you use the rubber piece to make it grab better? I find I have to set mine initially, and then tweak it one more time, but then its set.

I got the 7/8th and did use the rubber band. Like I say, different bar locations and moving brake handle in as far as it would go and still did not hold speed.
