Center Kick Stand

Has anyone installed a center kick stand on their bike? Can't find any pics on web. Want to make sure the piece on the side doesn't stick out too far.

The fairing will drag the ground before the centerstand............if that is a concern.

I installed a centerstand from a Concourse 14 on my ZX. Fits fine. You just need to drill and tap the frame for the stock spring mount post on the left side and if you have a 4:1 exhaust I had to put on a Brocks centerstand stop.
The stand cost me $19.99 on ebay.

I have the factory-optional centerstand and have never drug the tang. 13xx miles of mostly twisty roads in Southeastern Missouri and Arkansas last weekend and chicken strips down to 1/8" in the back and 1/4" in the front with the suspension set on the soft side of sporty.

I used the Kawi factory ZX14 centerstand on my 07. They fit great and I miss having it on my 2012. Does not stick out.

I was going to get one because I think they look cool and would be safer in flat parking situations, but I don't want to remove the fairing piece at the lower rear of the bike

Lol

Nothin to do with a center stand but the black wheels look SSOOO much better than the red!!!! The centerstand does look like it works great.

It looks like the belly faring had to be removed to make room for the full kickstand. Still not a bad tradeoff considering how many threads I've read about the affordable (cheap) spool/stand kits

Yes the little wing on the bottom does need to be removed to install the center stand. I agree that the black and white looks way better than the black and red. Thats what I was going for when I dumped the stock red wheels.

Zx14's and centerstand still exist to why make a new thread?

Has anyone tried using a C14 stand for only garage use? That is, just push the bolts through for maintenance and remove for riding?

I have an extra center stand and I have done this several times for just the purpose you propose.

Awesome, just bought one off ebay for $40. Little paint and I'll be set. Thanks!

Why not buy a rear stand on sale from cycle gear for $40? Certainly better for real work like removing the wheel than a center stand. Just my 2 cents ....

To work on the suspension, as well as un-weight the tires and springs when not in use.
